Just got back from a preview screening for the The Hangover: Part II and loved it.
Obviously not as great as the first but still had some very funny moments although I won't spoil it for the rest of you.
For a sequel it is pretty good and if you loved the first you'll love this one.

We attended the press screening this evening. General consensus is that it was great and that it sucked.

So it's a great film that sucked?

No, two forms of opinion.

what was yours?
It's similar to the last one but it still works for me. I'm not sure if it could get away with it a third time and I doubt they'd try (but you never know).
The first was definitely better but there was still a lot of laughs and most people at the cinema seemed to like it

I wouldn't mind giving it a watch. Is it as enjoyable as the first film?

Does Chow play a big part in it? Or does he have a similar role size as before?
He seems to make it for me.
mmm. pshhhhh. so long gayboys..

I haven't seen it, but colleagues did. I use 'we colletively for the Screenjabber team. I don't have much of a desire to see the sequel. I liked the first, but think it's overrated. I've seen teen comedies done so much better.

I think it's a bit of fun and doesn't really take itself too seriously.
For a comedy it works. I like serious films and clever films but sometimes its nice to have a film just there for the laughs.
And chow is in it more than the first.

I just can't fathom why they've used exactly the same storyline (or at least the trailer suggested it was identical except in a different setting). I'm quite a fan of the first, it's a particularly memorable film for some reason but surely they could of created a different storyline and still made it funny and relevant?
I'll go see it anyway but it just irritates me to an extent.

It also looks like there could be a third. Read the director has always envisioned it as a trilogy but depends on how this one comes down. But I read if there was a third it would be different.

If this makes a tonne of money - which is most likely will - you can guarantee there will be another.

Apparently the last though. But I've heard that plenty of times.

I Agree 1st one is better , because its more original because they sorta use the same idea if you know what i mean because its a stag do again . Even though the hangover is about stag do's the first one was better because it was original you didn't know what was coming up ofc.. But yeah i love the part where that man stands up and says: "This isn't his first wedding he married a ***** in las vegas" LOL

I want to go see it for the laughs. However, looking at the trailer makes it look like the first movie just in a different setting. They look extremely similar.

They are really the same film and that's why it's getting a lot of negative reviews. However it worked for me and all those I saw it with.
meh people here were so hyped up over the first and when I finally seen it, I was like rly underwhelmed. Deffo isn't as funny as people make out. I'm in no rush to see this one.

saw it last night, was friggin hilarious. a great movie, but i still couldn't help but be annoyed that they had basically recycled everything from the first movie. though it did make me laugh harder than when i first saw the first one.

I loved the first film, can't wait to see the second, hopefully it will be just as good as the first.

I thought the first one was really funny - i'm considering seeing this one. I guess most people think it's worth it?! x

It is what people say, it's a remake of the first bit still unbelivabley funny. As funny as the first so i recommend all to watch it.
From the opening scene the characters even state the same thing is happening, the opening quote goes somthing like this:
Tracy: Hello?
Phil: It's happend again ;(
Tracy: As bad as the last time?
Phil: Worse, we ****** up bad; Real bad
Tracy: Seriously? What's wrong with you three?
Stu: Why does this **** keep happening to us :(
It's a great film and i can't recommend it enough to fans of the first

saw it yesterday and thought it was good (obviously not as good as the first one - but that's a given). some parts did really annoy me though, especially when the father finds out what happened, when the guys found out how it all started and the fact that the film was oh so predictible. the third film (which is inevitable) better not use the same formula.
