Hehe :) So how many languages can you speak ?

Not that im showing off or what but i can speak multiple languages including Chinese, English, Cantonese, Malay and Japanese :B

Im born and raised in Malaysia and im a Chinese. Malaysia is a multi-cultural country.

English and Malay are compulsory. And I have to learn japanese at my school. ( just an extra language )

I can't speak Japanese fluently, only for the other 4 languages.

So what about you ? :B

I doubt many English people can speak many.. languages are not taught properly in England.

Spanish, English. I studied German and French too, but never really understood them (despite being in the "A*A" set.)

Yet, friends I know who are Spanish, were fluent in English before leaving Primary school.

Western European companies put the UK to shame when it comes to languages.

English and can handle a light conversation in Japanese, along with a handful of phrases and various other things. I learnt French and German in school but they were just doss lessons really.

I got an A in Spanish but I don't remember like ANYTHING. Maybe if I got in the swing of a conversation I could get it back but I doubt it.

English. I would be able to speak german was my school taught it for year 7 and 8 compulsory, but then decided to make french compulsory which I just did not understand and did not want to learn, and I did not want to take german as an option. I know bits of french but nothing huge.

I can speak English and understand a few things in French, Spanish and Italian. The UK has always been a bit lousy with languages, but we've never really needed to use them.

The only language I can speak is English. I did French for 3 years at High School but none of it really went in and I hated speaking it out loud.. :P

English and Spanish. Problem is, my Spanish slang is better than my actual Spanish as I lived in the south of Spain for six and a half years. But, I can hold a conversation easily with a Spaniard.

I can speak English, American and Australian... I shall demonstrate

My English: "I would be positively delighted if you'd do the pleasure of making me up some tea and crumpets"
My American: "Howdy partner, could you get me an extra large burger, with some extra large fries and a supersized cola, buddeh"
My Australian: "G'day mate, how 'bout you rustle up the barbie and cook up some meat and then we go out and get a pint"

I can only speak English fluently but I'm semi-fluent in Irish. I'd probably be able to hold some sort of conversation. I can understand German fairly well but I can barely speak it myself xD

This girl in my year can speak five languages all fluently:

English
French
Russian
Ukrainian
Polish

she's also semi-fluent in Irish.... WHERE WOULD YOU BE GOING WITH ALL THOSE?
