At the end of every month every user receives a PM titled 'Overview of your account' which will contain amount of reputation points you have and amount of reputation you got minused over the month and containing awards you have earned and if you have vip how long left you have it for stuff like that

Dunno really but I'd assume this'd take quite a long time and would be annoying for people who haven't visited for the last 6 months and then return. You can find out all this information by just looking elsewhere and that only takes you 1 or 2 minutes so I think this would just waste Dave's time when he could be doing other stuff which perhaps is more useful. I don't support the idea but have some +rep anyway for having an interesting suggestion :)

I really think it would take more effort reading a chunk of text in a PM than quickly scanning 3 or 4 pages on the forum. :)

I don't think it's a very good idea myself :P You can get access to all that information yourself easily by clicking userCP it shows you how much reputation you have earned that month and how much you have lost. You get a PM every time you get an award anyway as well. Nice to see you coming up with ideas though!

I would like it if we could have a counter somewhere, like last month you had 100 posts, this month you have 145
I like to know how much I've gone up by =]]]
Yes I know you could just note it down but I forget

Just remember that there are 24 hours in a day, 168 hours in a week. For those hours, Dave has to go to school for about a 5th of them, he also has to sleep for about a third of them, he also needs to have his own time and do other tasks. He's therefore not actually got that much time and things which could be more useful would be pushed to the back of the queue for this, which doesn't require much effort for the public to access all the details anyway.
- Donate
- User CP
- Your profile -> Awards
That's all you need to quickly scan for the three things you want in this PM.

I will help you here, Nick :P
They would be automatic. A bit like when a new member signs up, the PM they get when they join is automatic - no one has to type it and send it repeatedly!

That's what they want you to think. They've really got a bunch of chinese slaves sitting in a room doing it
If I was forum manager, I would not sit there and waste days and days doing this. It hampers their work on the forum to do something, which essentially is not needed at all.

Why would it waste days?

Amount of people to go through if it's manual. However, I am unaware that there is an automatic feature for that, so then again it'll have to be coded.
Also, you can check all those above yourself, it's the lazy way here ;p.
Btw, I'm referring to the first post here.

Well it would hardly be manual, would it lmao
You would have to send out hundreds and hundreds of individual PM's - obviously it would have been automatic.
Although it isn't happening, so it doesn't really matter.
