View Full Version : Siblings
In some families you have that one sibling that is troublesome and causes chaos for their parents. How do you stop them from being ****s and making stupid mistakes, especially when they don't even listen to you?
I was just wondering if anyone has bad experiences like that and what do they do to keep peace in their families? :)

lol hi prime example here
to begin with i tried to get my mum to see sense but he was always main priority and he was never the bad person, it was always someone elses fault according to her. i was just left to deal with it because i'm the "mature" one. no amount of screaming or pleading would ever change that. i learnt to just shut my mouth while making the sly comment here and there but making sure other people know how i felt about it. there was never peace in my family and no point trying so i really don't know! i would just let them learn from ther mistakes if they won't listen to anyone. depends their type of behaviour, don't put yourself in danger doing anything but also don't let there be an opportunity for something bad to happen.

What if you get to the point that you hear your parents crying daily, they don't sleep nor eat. What do you do? I hate how people are so heartless and don't give a **** despite it all.

My brother is the exact same, he's always the one to cause fights. As much as you love your sibling report it to the garda, they'll soon realise the **** they caused is actually really serious.

My brother smokes a lot of weed, practically every single day the smell is there, and the downstairs bathroom smells like smoke (he does it inside that room because of the air filter).
I was constantly badgering him about how horrible it is for him and that he's going to get himself into a stupid situation or with cancer but he says there are no health issues with it, that it's even good for you to do and so on. He has totally convinced himself that it's a normal and safe thing to be doing even though it's extremely irresponsible and stupid.

I think someone just needs to show them that if they act the way they do they won't get what they want.

i hate it too... i'll never understand how people have everything but are total animals. it makes no sense and those people aren't worth trying to 'fix', once the damage is done it's hard to forgive. what does your sibling do? is it bad enough to go the police? no amount of drugs/violence/stealing made my mum get help for it. you have to look at it through your parent's eyes. my mum didn't want to be seen as a bad parent so kept everything hidden, it's not going to be easy to turn your own children in no matter how bad it gets.
i sound like a hypocrite because i wouldn't do it but if it's really bad, go to the police. **** tryna get help for them, anger management didn't work for mine. sit down, talk to your parent's (at a good time) and if they refuse to do anything then stop it yourself before it gets out of control. you could either talk to the sibling about it or if you know they get kicks outta hurting people then go somewhere else you can get help. it's worth betraying your parent's if it affects you so badly, in the end it's most likely that the sibling will get their comeuppance, just don't wait too long for it to happen. i really can't suggest anything without knowing the situation so trying not to make assumptions:P

All I do is see it through my parents eyes. I don't give a **** if it affects me or hurts me in anyway but when I see my parents all broken and I have no power to do anything about it its just so hard. I think its totally out of my parents hands now and its all up to him. I'm scared that he will realise what he's done wrong when its too late. Its hard when its your younger brother doing it, especially when you still can't hate him after all the **** he's caused.

That's easier said than done unfortunately :(

Tell me something he gets which he would consider as a luxury.

The fact that he still has a roof over his head.

Ahh and hes quite young isn't he. Anything else?
He's only 2 years younger than me. And not really, he has no phone or any other thing he sees as a luxary. Parents took everything away, every time he did something bad they took an Item off him.

This would likely be the general consensus amongst males with regards to how we feel about our brothers :P

no they're just mindless idiots.. the stuff that comes out of their mouths sometimes makes me question how they can get through university. it's just party party party smoke weed.. i love smoking weed but they come up with these plans and the 2 of them can get each other so hyped up about it it's ridiculous. i love my brothers to death, they're my "bros" but they don't take a **** without consulting with each other first. we'll be going out and one of them will be like "ashton, what shirt should i wear" and i'll be like "i don't know adam, what shirt should you wear out" and he'll be like "i don't know" i'm living with them both next year but our step-sister might go to school with us so i hope that will balance it out because she calls them out in ways i can't..
