Recently ive seen on Facebook, if your account gets compromised, and if you have your phone number connected to your account you can get your account back easy just by following a link on your phone. So I thought wouldn't that be a good idea for Habbo? Thoughts?

Yeah, I like this. considering I was hacked and I don't know how; they are refusing to give my account back because apparently my details are wrong which is **.

been talking to matt and apparently I should just send habbo customer support my current IP. hopefully they'll do something; love this idea!

I was thinking about this the other day.

When you are on ebay (or paypal can't remember), if you sign in and do certain things from another location (eg when you have a different IP), it will detect that you are at a different location and say it's going to ring your phone and give you a 4 digit code, you then enter that 4 digit code from the phone and then it allows you to use your account.

Habbo could do this so easy. Most of the hotel will have a mobile and definately a house phone. So what they could do is, detect your location from when you sign in, if it's different from before, they say they will ring your phone and provide you with a 4 digit code to unlock your account.

This could stop your account being hacked. If then a person tries to hack you, they cannot get passed the code part of the site, you will get an email saying someone tried to compromise your account and you need to change your password etc

Very good idea, it would certainly stop a large number hackers gaining access to other peoples accounts. It's a shame that they haven't introduced anything like this yet.

I think this is a good idea, it could stop many people being hacked :) I don't know why they don't think of these things tbh ;s

what if there e-mail account has been hacked aswell?

i supposed you could have a password reset via phone (you enter email, then your phone is rung and you get given a code, you enter that and then you can change ur pw)

This is such a good idea, I've never thought of this before. Me thinks we should all send this to habbo :L

I'd generally be happy with Habbo connected to my phone, and that everytime I login on a PC other than my main one, it sends me a text asking me to "add the PC" so I can continue to use it..

This way only I can get onto my account :) Even if 100 people know my pass, unless their PC is on the "safe" list that I agree too using my mobile then they can't login.

Also, if you report your facebook as " stolen " they'll block the account and you've to email them as they call it " Government issued Identification " and they'll retrieve your account.. If habbo implemented this, it'd be much safer.

Isn't this all too much just for a habbo account? If you are rich on habbo or have a valuable account maybe it will be worthwhile but I think it's a little too much and may cause annoyance to people.

If this was to be introduced then you'd definitely need to turn it on first and can turn it off at any time but it takes a certain amount of time to turn off and you need to text a code or something.
