What? E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) is the biggest video game expo in the world. Yearly, the press conferences that take place at the expo bring the biggest video game news including hardware and software reveals.

What to expect?

Project Cafe - Nintendo's next home console will be reveaeld. The system is rumored to have a touch screen controller and be in full HD.
The PlayStation Vita / NGP - Sony will fully reveal their next handheld (rumored to be named PlayStation Vita). They may or may not reveal the final price and release date.
More Kinect games - After the huge sales of the Kinect for Microsoft, expect the camera to be at Microsoft's conference sporting some hardcore games as well as casual games.
A bunch of Nintendo 3DS games including Super Mario 3DS.
RUMOR: Grand Theft Auto 5
RUMOR: Resident Evil 6
RUMOR: New Alan Wake game
Sony will comment on the PSN situation.
All the big games that still aren't out like The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Swords, Mass Effect 3, Bioshock Infinite, Codename: Kingdoms, Twisted Metal, etc.
Announcement of PSP Remaster Series (http://www.handheldgamingblog.com/play-psp-games-ps3-psp-remaster-series-announced/) for North America.
Some more Move games, but not a focus of the Sony press conference.
Hints that Sony and Microsoft are working on their future consoles.

tv bundle is a 24 inch 3D TV, a pair of glasses, resistance 3 an HDMI cable for 500 USD which is cheap really.

Glad that Sony has finally put Nintendo in a place where they have to react (in the handheld department). Nintendo needs some serious competition in the handheld market, and it looks like Sony just gave it to them.

Now we'll have to see what Nintendo has to bring to the table tomorrow. :)

Honestly the only good parts about either of them so far is Gears 3, Battlefield 3 and Vita, the rest is just rubbish, Sony were on the same level as Microsoft, maybe only slightly higher because of the announcements about Vita, both of them were trumped by EA to be honest.

I don't know, I was more reffering to their games :P Can be around £60 and the more expensive games (i.e. mw3) are like £80 lol.

To put it in perspective as vita is around the same price as a PS3, aussies PS3s RRP at 600 AUD (according to game) which is £390.

I think the Wii U is a neat idea, but I also think they've packed far too much in to the controller. I watched the Sony conference not too bothered, but after seeing the Vita and the graphics on it, it's made me seriously think about getting one. I also hope that TV bundle comes to the UK

I love E3, it brings out the geek in me. Watched all the 3 major shows even though i don't have a 360 lol. Uncharted 3 looks amazing! Loved the whole titanic vibe that was going on. I was expecting much from the vita because the psp was a waste of my money tbh but the graphics on it are insane. Also, since when did the PS3 get 3D :S? Tbh even thought i love song, they never come up with their own ideas, they copied the ds' touch screen controls for vita and now they copied 3D for their games ( however they have to wear glasses and they are expensive). I currently have no idea of what to make of the Tv bundle, its quite pricey just for 3D stuff.

The wii U is a really stupid name (and I am i dedicated Nintendo fan) and i wish they would move away from the name. It was good back when it was released but now it just sounds really childish. The new controller seems really cool! However there may be problems when playing with it on a small screen tv and that you can only use 1 controller for wii u (and 4 other wii remotes but not other wii u controllers). I also hated that during the show they talked about the controller non stop and had no time to discuss what the console was actually like. They didn't even show it. I bet people walked away thinking it was another handheld. I have seen the console on pics after and it looks really nice and can apprently produce better graphics then the 360 and ps3 which can't be bad. The clip they showed of zelda fighting the spider to show the power of the console was fantastic, they really need to make that into a game. That reminds me, skyward sword looks incredible! I was going to sell my wii but I will hold onto it for this gem!

For the microsoft show, i think it was better presented then the other two, but i hate microsoft. I don't see the whole craze with halo ethir, I played the first on xbox and was not engaged by it at all. They kept banging on about kinnect (have I spelt it right?) which was boardline suicidal because they were mostly for casual gamers.

I hope the points aren't to negative because their are a lot of amazing games comming out for everything that I can't wait to get my paws on!

It wont be as good in a lot of ways, I feel the multiplayer is about all the console version will have over the PC version, there wont be any mods and updates will be slower, not to mention the fact you'd have to buy all the better content.

There's no way to really know right now. Nintendo themselves didn't have any official games to confirm outside of Smash Brothers which hasn't even started development. The console is still early and is probably more than a year away.

They could do that quite easily I would imagine, I heard Mojang would be doing some sort of cloud ting anyway so I could see it happening quite easily really, although I don't imagine it'll be done like this, it would be pretty pointless and it would cause problems for people using mods on the PC version aswell.

One would expect that since they have been out so long, that the Wii U will bat them outta the park.

All the multiplat footage shown at nintendo was from PC, PS3 and 360 games. Reggie admitted it afterwards

I doubt it'll happen, the way XBL works pretty much stops that idea dead in it's tracks, hence why Steam partnered with Playstation Network rather than XBL for Portal 2 and whatever future plans they have.

Worried about Bioshock Infinite. Main demos had the player character speaking 95% of the time, especially when you 'discovered' something yourself, kinda takes you out of it. Hope they iron that out a little bit, fine with the voice, just where it comes into play.
