View Full Version : Certain things that make someone more attractive

What things can people have that would make you instantly more attracted to them, obviously apart from their looks in general? Certain personality traits, interests, their clothing style, hair/eye colour, accent?!
For me, it's definitely a girl who's into cars. They don't have to be as obsessed with them as I am (it would certainly help) but someone who likes them, is interested in them, and someone that I could have a conversation with about them. Cameron Diaz in "Knight & Day" was a perfect example, hearing her mention the different bits for certain cars made my heart melt :8

This, I have a pretty funny sense of humour and it really annoys me when someone can't take a joke/gets offended
Being funny and interested in games.

this, but not thinking call of duty is the only game
also not dressing to follow the "trend", a sheep is a right turn off in any way tbh.
Inseriousity.

Cannot stress this one enough, there's a guy in my class and my friends think he's so super stylish but all he ever does is follow the trends, he's not original about it either. That's a total off-putter because I don't follow trends, I just wear what I feel like wearing.
My things are;
-Doesn't think that because I'm a girl I'll be awful at playing console games, it's actually an activity I really enjoy! :)
-Having a mature conversation, it's so off-putting when a guy makes conversation by dissing you or making a stupid remark.
-Sense of humour similar to mine.
-Interested in education and learning.
me. LOL joke, someone who I get on with as a best friend, share the same interests etc.

Niceness, if they ain't nice, I really don't fancy them.
Humour a million times. If they can make me laugh then I am pretty much sold lol. It rules over appearance for me.
Then I like it if they are nerdy. All of my celeb and real life crushes have been nerds. I just love the funny wittyness of them and the fact they tend to be quite nice to me(The real life ones that is ).
When it comes to appearance, I do not really mind. I tend to go for average looking people.

You remind me of myself, I remember thinking Will off Inbetweeners was amazing and not that bad looking!
I think that a sense of humour is key.
Also, someone who can take no for an answer and be fine with it, no one likes a pushy person!
Someone who likes games and doesn't care that I don't wear makeup or that I prefer game shops to clothes shops etc.
Someone who can be mature but also childish as well.
Also, someone who does their bit in the relationship and someone who doesn't spoil me by buying me something every week, I don't mind it minimally though!
Like my current bf, yesterday we spent most of the day laughing and playing GTA San Andreas!

Somebody who has the same kind of traits and likes as me. Obviously not exactly the same, otherwise that would be boring.
But to be able to enjoy everything she wants to do, priceless...

Someone who doesn't care what others think.
People who genuinely like you, not for the week.
Hot hair and smile!!!
Not thick, sorry but I just can't take people like that :(
Mature and isn't hard to read.

I'm not sure if it's an ego thing... but I like people like me. Because that way they're outspoken, have an 'out there' sense of humour and don't play to the crowd. i hate people that ***** themselves out and TRY to make others laugh for attention? (plus it means i can have someone who doesn't just LIE DOWN to whatever i say. ie it's good to have an argument or two).
but apart from that, I think amazing eyes is definately a selling point!

I met my ideal woman tonight.
Was at a party and I realised I had recognised her from somewhere, but couldn't quite put my finger on it. It then hit me that she was the rather attractive blonde from the Renault garage who dealt with me when I had it booked in there last week. I got talking to her a bit and, due to the nature of her job at Renault, when I told her I wanted "an Alien Green 200 with Recaros, black Speedlines and a cup spoiler" she knew exactly what I was talking about.
I've never been so attracted to someone in all my life.

Neither, I was just chatting to her. It emerged anyway that she has a boyfriend, which was absolutely gutting. She's added me on Facebook though, good enough for me!

More often than not this is true, however two years ago my French teacher was telling us about her relationship with her husband and how she was pregnant with her second child. She and her husband started dating when they were twelve. It's rare, but it does happen that way sometimes.

i hold a sheer disregard for love/relationships as I've yet to experience anything more than 'seeing' someone or 'fooling around'. I'm a busy person and don't like things being outwith my control or me having to 'belong' to someone.
It's diabolical commitment issues that stem to my parents etc etc :P

My parents first went out when they were 14. They were on and off for a bit then, but now they've been married 20 years.

That's nice n all, but as u said it's rare. No point keeping yourself locked to one person at a young age when there's the tiniest off chance that they could be your soul mate.

I'm not fussed, i'm happy as I am. i'm 20 and a confirmed bachelor. all's good :P!
my parents were together for twenty-one years, the day we came back from our family holiday our mum dropped my dad off, drove myself and my twin to her boyfriends. told us they were splitting. after that she dropped us off the next day, then she just turned weird. my dad tried to take her back for 'us' (when we didn't want her back as we didn't trust her anymore, she kept messing us around) it didn't work as he seen how much we didn't care for her anymore. she left and all she did was mess us around, never visit, broken promises etc. then we refused to see her anymore... she spent the next ten years telling everyone our dad forced us not to see her . she's nuts, i think she's emotionally cold. oh and she forced the sale on our family home. OUR INHERITANCE.
I genuinely hate my mother.

You're right the chance is minimal, but I guess it just depends on the people, the situation and using the best judgement you can at the time.

A 20 year marriage after meeting at age 14, that's really sweet Dan!

Parents act far more childish than teenagers do about relationships at times but I suppose they're human and have feelings too. I don't know anything that's gone on with your family mind you but I wouldn't let your parents influence your love life as such. Make it your own when you have it and if you walk away with any guidance from your parent's relationship, I guess you should walk away with a general idea of what not to do.

To me, I guess it's all about personality:)
If they aren't kind and caring, then in the long run, it'll be hard to support one another.
So having a humble heart, kindness, willing to keep the relationship going and just liking me for who I am is what I find attractive in people:)
If they have that, then appearance doesn't matter much for me^_^
