What we're aiming here is that you can see what your friends are up to, even if you're not in the same room as them. What's not shown above is, you'll also get a small notification if a friends gets an achievement. I think these can be very useful to a lot of players, but I guess the feature doesn't currently show things that you'd be interested in.
Is there something that you'd like to know your friends have done, even if you're not in the same room as them, that we could notify you of? Like, a friends of yours becoming friends with someone? Or completing a quest?

What's not shown above is, you'll also get a small notification if a friends gets an achievement. Its a nice idea but I think it would be better in a separate window (which could be accessed from the side bar). This window could then display all of the recent activities that are made by friends, and could even be sorted so only certain actions are displayed.
Not sure if that makes sense, but meh. :L

no way. the flashing console is easy to ignore but this just annoys me that I have to click it :(!

Regardless of what you've all said. I think it's useful actually. It's nice to know if a friend has an event starting or has earned a new achievement and it pops up :)

This is useful, Some of you do not think it is. Cause your playing games and stuff. There are different types of players, rare traders, casino dealers, casino owners, who will take this as useful, but for the majority of you whoa re game players, listen to the radio, chill, hangout, talk, date, its not useful.
I quite like this update tbh :)

Many times! :D And I personally do think Habbo has been a bit broken in the sense that it's hard to know what my friends are, or have been, up to, while I'm in the hotel. The friend bar showing what your friends are doing helps a bit in this regard.
Do you have any ideas to share that would make this even more useful? :)

So when your friend starts an event it pops up?
I can see what you mean but some updates are a bit more useful but not needed and some others are just pointless.

If you wanted to know where someone was, wouldn't you just go visit them? If someone wanted to tell their friend they'd got an achievement, they'd tell each them themselves. Perhaps it's just me, but I really don't care how many pieces of furniture x-hotboi-x has put in his room.. :P
I just don't like the friends bar at all in general though, it's just a reduplication of the console and I'm just not quite seeing any benefits from it. Perhaps Habbo could start to look at different room settings such as having more options for rights (giving people the ability to kick but not move furniture, for example)... which could even stem to allowing people with rights to place furniture and give room bans for set amounts of time. This is the kind of thing that I think Habbo needs to progress, not giving us all random friend updates which we have done without perfectly for 10 years.

I think a ideas that would be good for Habbo is a status instead of a motto. So there can be a 'recent activity' thing that can show you what your friends have done. Like if they have done a achievement, completed a quest, tells you if your friends changed their status/motto and tells you if your friends changed their looks.
If we move away from the 'friend bar' side of updates I think Habbo should:- Allow Habbos to make their own room layouts, be able to create your own trax, when Habbo's knocking on your door they could be in your door waiting for the door to be answered and when its answered your Habbo walks to the door to answer.
I'm pretty happy with this update, I think it's good to know what you're friends are up to and if they're trying to contact you! :P

I agree on what Infectious is saying, but I think having it on the side bar will start to build up and it will look messy. Is there an option to disable the friends bar any time soon? Maybe have several options so like
Friends bar on
Friends bar on + Notifications of activities friends do
Yeah I agree with what Jordesh just said and tbh I like Habbo the way it used to be and it's hard to get used to all these changes.

To be fair, If I wanted to know what my friends had been up to, I would just ask them. No one would really care if their friend compleated a quest. It's not like were going to:
OMG, I JUST GOT A NOTIFICATION SAYING YOU DROPPED A PIECE OF FURNITURE IN A ROOM, WELL DONE, I'M YET TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO DO THAT!!!
It is a good idea, but I agree the updates are getting pointless, and your doing the opposite to what we want.
plus if I see I have a message, I go to my console to check but it doesn't get rid of of the typing box by their name unless you actually click it.

Heh, there's no plan to put notifications about stuff nobody is interested in to the friend bar. Are you absolutely certain there's nothing you'd like to know about what your friends are doing that'd interest you? Becoming friends with the Hotel Manager? Purchasing a rare? Exploding one's room? :D

all these updates have messed up my console and i can no longer see it, also i wouldn't want to know if my friend had just purchased a rare
can you make it so if you click the console when somebody has messaged you that that silly little blue square that comes up next to their head disappears too. Often I have clicked my console (okay, twice) only to find that I don't even have any new messages but the blue speech bubble is clearly telling me that I do have! Also when I get a friend request and deny/accept it straight away my console still has a "!" on it and I have to click it so it goes away.
A toggle for the friends bar would be nice, too. I don't want half of my screen taken up with peoples heads. Or at least be able to move it, like you can with the windows taskbar!
Also tells you when someone gets an achievement loll... Suppose its okay

Working on it! I agree 110% the current behavior is annoying, and needs to be fixed.
I also have this & think it is pointless... habbo's from 03-08 are soon gonna leave cos its not fun at all anymore, i usto play habbo a lot 'cos I played fifa, pes & EF a lot, had a team with stad & all that... but now habbo is a waste of time, i only go on when i am on air or tryna win a event ;P

Well I definitely don't care what achievements people are getting and I don't want mine displayed to my friendlist either. And we could find out where are friends where before through the console. It just takes up space on my screen.

Yea but recents updates are making it so hard to even play. Like the infostand makes the likes of wired mazes so much harder. I use habbo mainly for chat and it even makes that difficult because it covers up you conversations.

You mean the Pixel / Credit menu on the top right corner? Or something else? If it's something else, are you playing on a very small screen?

That doesn't bug me. It's the info stand that pops up above your head with user commands like whisper and respect and im on a 13 inch macbook so the new updates take up a lot of my screen.

lmao kirst every time we click ourselves in that maze our entire screen was blocked! annoying! Could we perhaps have an option to toggle the infostand so it doesn't pop up EVERY SINGLE TIME you click yourself? or just make it not pop up at all unless you click the link in the toolbar? :)

Having been on habbo since 2002 - 2008, and coming back two weeks ago I'm rather disappointed with the 'progress'. I use to love having the old little console, but now there's achievements, event invites etc popping up on my screen at the bottom. I can see where Sulake are coming from trying to make it easier - but I feel we should have the option to revert back to the old type. Maybe make a settings on your profile page to choose what to enable and what to disable?

LMAO yes! its so annoying. I just don't see why it has to pop up and block the room :l It need's to go back at the side.

I have a problem with the whole friends being able to see what your up to thing. Thats kinda like spying, if you wanna see what a friend is doing stalk them, and if they don't want you to know, they can't do anything about it

Noticed another minor and pointless update, if you click the effects tab on the Me button, you'll see a new giant X at the corner of it. Also it can be dragged around the room
Im getting bored of these daily updates, that just make me lag even more ;s

I think it's better now because before I was unable to see all of my effects on the list, but now I can scroll down :D.
