I was stuck behind one of these the other day, how nippy are they? Hope I was just an unlucky one to be stuck behind a slow driver and not just the car being seriously underpowered. Going up hills it was slowing to a slug pace.

£30 is very cheap... How did they calculate it? I'm not a boy racer either :P

They're low power but by no means slow... mine's always very nippy out of junctions etc even on hills, and I can easily pull 70mph on motorways with a lot of room left to speed, you were just unlucky :P

Sorry, not £30, it's £20 with the first year free ;). Tax band B, emissions under 150 CO2 g/km.

I have a mate with an identical Clio to mine, but his is a 2010 model (Dynamique "TomTom" edition, if mine was about a month and a half newer it would have been the same, mines is still a 2009 model). However, for the '10 model Renault made a number of "eco" tweaks to the gearbox and ECU to keep the revs down through the range to keep the c02 emissions down and as a result, his tax is only £93 a year, whereas mines is £115! gutting!
