Why is it blocked from those who aren't signed in? I don't see how it would be seen as more of a privileged than other forums. I'd love to be able to read spam while not being logged in, when I'm logged in I end up replying to people, sometimes I just want to look to see what's happening.

Inseriousity.

The only explanation I can think of is that the majority of cautioned users are banned from it (because they're from it) and so it stops them from being able to just log out and have a look??

If you want to have a look, nothing stopping ya logging in and having a look!

I think what Richie's problem is here is that if he comes on for a look he has to sign in. When he's signed in he'll start replying and then get distracted AND NOT STUDYING FOR HIS EXAMS?!?!? :P

Does that mean if someone like Misawa got banned we should remove the movie section from the public because he uses it :P

It's just silly even if the member is banned it's not like they can do anything. Those who use other public forums and get banned can still view their favourite forum which is slightly unfair.

Anyway, I think this came up before or maybe it was when they decided to hide it from those who aren't registered/logged in is because if a potential Habboxforum user was to browse to forum and wander into spam they could be turned off because it can sometimes contain some unwelcoming content or an unfriendly environment. That may not be the reason, it just rings a bell :S

I think spam is a privilege tbh. You can post what you want, how many times you want and just have a laugh with the other members. If you're cautioned then you lose that privilege but as has been said people could just logout and see spam again. And then you had banned/autobanned members who continuously make accounts because they want to post in a thread they see in spam. Sort of makes sense and if im being honest when I was banned, not seeing spam sort of made me not want to get banned anymore :'(

Also you gotta admit most of the people who get autobanned or just banned post in spam

No because Misawa is one user. I said the majority of users (more than one).

This is why I think it should stay hidden.

If you have got exams to be studying for, don't type www.habboxforum.com (http://www.habboxforum.com) into your address bar then you won't get distracted :P

:shifty::shifty::shifty::shifty::shifty:

moving on

yes I do believe that it is a good idea for spam to be kept hidden

The reason the spam forum was hidden from guests was due to the fact that the search engines will see the spam forum and then black list us in some sort of way.

The post Jin made in the old feedback thread about the matter:

Reason why spam was hidden is that search engines have the tendency to skip over things which hit whatever thresholds they set for things marked as "spam".

what do you mean blacklist?

Blacklist in terms of the engines think we are a spam website and nothing else. (I could be wrong but that's what I thought when read the reason) I'm not quite sure why you have mentioned spam bans as this isn't to do with anyone being banned? :P

that's a silly reason to block it off for guests though!!
and I'm just saying that some people were thinking it was because the majority of rule breakers use spam (lies!!) and that's why it's not there. if that was the cause then you should just ban those members rather than guests but I get what you mean now
