I'v been given detention countless times whist at school haha. I must have been given one a week ^_^

Most of mine were either because I was late or if I 'accidently' forgot my PE kit.

Also had a few for not doing my work in lessons such RE and Art ^_^

Actually attending them or not is a different story LOL

All being head boy in our school meant was being allowed to get away with doing things no one else could

I have had a few. In year ten I had a fair amount for PE homework, think PE is the only thing I have had them for really. Oh and I had one once because I stepped on a bug. And another one because MY FRIEND threw my rubber - apparently it is my fault because I let him borrow my rubber :P

I got detention every now and then because I was always late. Surprisingly I got away with it most of the time, maybe because I usually missed morning registration or just went in at break and they thought I was away. Usually it was just for messing around and petty things like that. Oh and for calling my teacher by his first name, haha that was always a laugh. Set the fire alarm off by accident once as well and had to mop the canteen at the end of lunch for a week. :(

i'd get em every week because my punctuality is absolutely TERRIBLE
it's not my fault i just get distracted. but yeah i got them a lot so in the end they created a thing called late detention
so us tardy people just had to go in at 8 in the morning for a half hour if we were late more than twice
so basically every wednesday there would always be the same 20ish people there for their weekly detention

lol, I could tell people off.. that's about it.

Although, it backfired one time and I was so scared!! All the prefects were split into teams of three and we'd all take a door at breaktime to stop people taking food outside.. etc. So anyway this asian lad walks up to the door we were at, smoking a cigarette.. I'm like "hi can you put it out please you're not allowed to smoke on school grounds.." then he had a massive go at me being really racist and all that.. asking my friend loads of rubbish about her Mum of all things.. :S then she thought she'd go report this guy to a teacher and he started following us.. omg scary. Then because we'd reported him the head of his year sat us all down in a room to discuss things. This asian guy starts telling a load of rubbish saying I insulted him, etc. BUT YEAH he got owned.. but then he kept giving me snide remarks in the corridor omg so I thought he was gonna punch me but he didn't cos im 6ft 2.

That's my Year 11 in a nutshell.... ;)

Pfft basically any year eleven could tell people off in our school? :L

Also, food outside not allowed? At my school it was go in the hall or outside :P

Naturally the power went to my head.

Yeah lol, I found it to be a pretty stupid rule but they preferred food to be kept in the Canteen. Couldn't have it in corridors or outside. :P

The only detentions I had were group/class detentions but most of them ended up canceled. Then I got kept back one day with someone else because the teacher was asking us 'why doesn't the class behave for me?' lol.

I've never had one, but I think it's purely down to luck because on the days when I genuinely did forget to do my homework we'd have a substitute or the teacher would forget. My maths teacher in particular didn't give detentions, she just made us come back after school and do the work :)

Usually about one every term, more often than not for talking or being disruptive or the odd homework. Unbelievable you could go through secondary school without one :L

Had detentions Numerous times.
put in isolation numerous times (admittedly it was more fun in isolation then in class so i wanted to keep going back)
Few Exclusions.

Funniest one must of been when i through a stone at a teacher - i was aiming for a mate who was pissing me off and because of my very dodgy aim at that point it went off course and knocked my head of years wig off. Amusing sight i must say,

I only ever had 3 detentions... one lunchtime ones in middle school for doing bugger all homework in Science and one after school one in upper school for punching someone in the face when they pissed me off... LOL

lol, nostalgia. I've been given detention countless times, though only ever attended once :L didn't care at all for it.
Also got countless "punny's" (punishment exercise) and "condy's" (conduct cards) and suspended a few times.

In year 8 i used to be a reb and got a detention like every week. I was put on a behavior report a few times too. I remember one time me and my friend went home at dinner time to get our PE kits and came back like 15 minutes before the last lesson ended. I also got moved forms away from my m8s :S In year 9 I only got one detention the other week.

its not really a big deal to get detention here because you got it for the smallest of things, nothing happened if you didn't go. I got it for doing the vimto actions in science and for sharpining my pencil at an 'inappropriate time' :S
never ever went to any dention except when I was forced to do 2 weeks for getting thrown out my French exam. it was with the same old people though and they would turn the clock forward about 20 minutes and she would have NO idea :/ we only had to sit there and not talk to each other... hardly detention. I got a few for skiving but the teachers hardly turned up anyway

I had one of those sheets which you got signed every lesson and given 5 ticks for good behaviour etc but I hardly even went to school then.. my school was terrible. I mainly got removals from class where you had to sit in another class to work and they got sent home. for every 3 you got was a detention.

Do class detentions count? I'll assume no considering they were never my fault.

So I got one in year 7 for forgetting my book on like the 2nd week of school. I attended this as I was **** scared in my second week still and he was such a *****.
I got one in year 10 for french, having had her for 2 years and this being the first time I found it utterly ridiculous so didn't go to it. Another in year 10 for P.E. theory for, guess what, not having folder dividers (the cardboard bits which you could section off areas with). This one pissed me off so much because I always listen and I'm 100% certain he didn't even say get them, and the fact it was genuinely ridiculous for a half hour. Again, I did not attend this. Both these teachers I'm sure hated me afterwards aswell due to the fact I got moved down in both subjects even when I wasn't performing that bad compared to other people.

The funny thing with the two year 10 ones aswell is that they never chased me up about it afterwards lol.

Year 7: 4-8 detentions
Year 8: Everyday!
Year 9: 2 a week
Year 10: 3-5 detentions
Year 11: 1

like around 5 times from year 7-11
should of had more if they actually stuck to their rules but yea

And this is what pisses me off.

Bit off topic rant coming along but the rules in schools are stupid and really not enforced. And any that are enforced, there is always that group of people that can do whatever the hell they want and get in ino trouble for it which really ticks me off, if I done that I would be suspended soon enough. 2 of these people started talking in exams, and although the exam invidulator said that their paper is "ripped" I really doubt it, and although I know they're gonna do **** it annoys me how they're still allowed the result.
I also despise favouritism in rules, well one kind of it. By that I mean, I don't mind if the person is always well behaved and hands in work on time, but forgets it once and gets a detention for it (i.e. happened to me twice) but when the student is a total ass but is friendly with the teacher, that is what pisses me off. Luckily few teachers actually done this, but the ones who done this were mostly P.E. teachers anyway who I absolutely hate due to their favouritism (I think I've had two out of about 6 P.E. teachers who didn't show any element of favouritism in the class which is ridiculous considering I've had 7 English teachers who never showed favouritism and god knows how many science teachers who never showed favouritism, apart from one of them maybe but I think he just disliked me personally lol).

God I've lost count the amount of detentions I had. I often get them about once a fortnight really - depends on how pathetic the teacher wants to be.

Allot but I only ever attended once or twice, rebel I know. Na but in fairness it was over petty things like crying like a baby in class or not doing homework.

An hour almost every day... mostly from teachers I don't like or when I was on report if I didn't get a good mark off a teacher I get an hour so yeah, I'm ****** bad! ;) Mainly it's cos I say stuff and the class laugh and I get an hour.
Had 2 or 3 isolations too, only been at that school a year :/

I wouldn't really say I was bad but when I was in school I normally got 2-4 standard 15 minute detentions a week in the lower years, year 10 probably one a week and then in year 11 a couple of month, they tended to be much more lax with the older years, although I got allot of "quite rooms" (the highest punishment after suspensions, 6 lessons in a room where you barely do anything) in total because I'd rather of gotten them then after school detentions which lasted for an hour but it was in my own time :L

I got allot more than my friends but its generally because I would argue with the teachers over a single warning eventually turning into a detention.

Ive been excluded once, put in seclusion room for 2 days twice and had loads of detentions lol. My latest afterschool is Thursday night for being late by more than 10 minutes over a fortnight but I been to my head of house and asked if I can go to my art room instead and do art instead and he agreed, thank god :L
