Hey,
Anyone watch The Office? If so, do you prefer the UK or US version? :D
I've been watching The Office US for the past few months and I'm on the final series now. It really is probably the funniest show I've seen; I've never really got into watching something so much! :P Might watch the UK version afterwards but I don't know if it will be as good?

Well done, you've found... xxMattGxx's sock? Oh right yes, sock of a tramp! That's one of the ingredients for the potion! For the next ingredient, the witch has left a code. Each letter corresponds with the number in the alphabet (A=1, B=2, C=3 etc). When you've cracked the code, it will reveal the location of the next ingredient!

I prefer the UK version of The Office. I think Ricky Gervais plays a absolutely brilliant part infact I think they all play brilliant parts, especially Tim and Gareth.
I advise you watch it. I really wish they did another series but looks like it will not happen :(

I'll probably give it a go. I just don't find Ricky Gervais funny in must cases.. he just appears to force the humour and has such an annoying laugh.
But hey ho, we'll see. :P Cheers.
I generally prefer UK Comedy to US Comedy for the reason being it relates more. So UK version is funnier imo.
Oleh, have you even watched The Office US? If not why post?
I suggest anyone who hasn't watched it, watch it now. It is the funniest show on any network anywhere in the world, I've been watching it for some time now and I need to run through season 7 again because they had so many breaks in the season, stupid NBC. The UK version is poor, very poor. I mean, Ricky Gervais isn't funny, at all. Steve Merchant is another one who isn't funny. I know Gervais is a writer for the US version but that's what he's good at, writing.
Anyway, if you like The Office US then may I suggest you take a look at Community which is also a very good show on NBC.

I finished yesterday, so now I've watched every single episode in every season! :P I've just got the webisodes to watch now, but I'm gonna have to get them from somewhere cos NBC don't allow people out of the US to view their online content. :( I was nearly in tears when Michael left and Pam went to meet him at the airport... :'( I don't know if it's gonna be the same without Steve Carell to be honest; Michael Scott was what made The Office and I think the characters will just be weak without him.
Also, yeah I agree with you about Ricky Gervais. There's a precredit scene where Michael Scott is seen getting in the lift whilst David Brent is coming out.. whilst it was nice to see the two shows mix like that, I couldn't help but find it slightly cringeworthy hearing Ricky's voice in there. Ah well.
Just watched a few minutes of Community on YouTube and it looks pretty good actually! :)

UK Version, without a doubt, Ricky Gervais plays a far better role than Steve Carell, as Steve Carell is a douche with the lack of acting skills along with comedy sense.

I disagree, Ricky Gervais is funny, you must not have the right sense of humour to see the side of jokes that he does, he tests the boundaries and in most cases, makes a fair point and a light side of the subject with humour. His laugh isn't annoying at all, if anything it makes him funnier.

What gave you the impression that I've never watched it? I simply said I prefer UK Comedy :S Have you ever watched 'An Idiot Abroad'? By Ricky Gervais and Steve Merchant? That is by far the funniest thing I've watched ever, Plus I just simply don't like the direction of US Humour.

The Ricky Gervais Show is funnier still, the stuff Karl comes out with :L "What are those things in the Gremlins called?"

Gervais writes a lot of The Office US and he's vehicle behind it, it's not American humour, it's British. Have you or have you not watched The Office US? You seem very narrow minded and stubborn on your views of American media.
Well seeing as I haven't remarked that I haven't watched it, I thought it was implied that I have judging by the way I was commenting on it.. How can I seem narrow minded and stubborn when I simply just don't like the style its presented? Gervais also wrote Cemetery Junction, doesn't mean I like it. Let's not turn this into an argument though please.
It never was an argument, it's a debate about a TV show. That's what a forum's for right? Debating with others about certain topics so let's not use your Forum Moderator position as leverage for your point.
Okay. I've watched every single episode of The Office US and The Office UK at least thrice. I suggest you give The Office US a chance. It's not your typical US show comedy show as generically, their humour isn't funny. At all. People comment on things they have no idea about and it seems that you're programmed to reject a TV show without giving a chance. I'm just a spectator, I don't know but perhaps you don't, perhaps you have watched a full season of The Office US... I'm guessing not though.
I love both of them, but the US one slightly more. Has soo many moments in it where I was buckling laughing, and I really grew to love the characters over the 7 series.

I used to like it a lot but since Michael left the office, I'm no longer watching it. It's finished for me.
