Haven't seen a thread around... Im gonna start with Nasri & Fabregas because thats my main concern atm, feel free to talk about other club transfers.

I reckon Fabregas will go to Barcelona simply because he is Spanish & he has always wanted to play for them... I think he is a **** for this move though because he is the Arsenal captain and probably the most experienced player at the team!

Samir Nasri isn't going to go to manchester united! he even tweeted "just want tell you dont listen the newspaper and the rumours i will let you know if something happen" yeah its not conformation that he is going to stay, but its also not conformation that he is going.

Nasri is either after a more lucrative contract from Arsenal or he actually wants a move to a club hes more likely to win things at. The problem is with Arsenal and Wenger is they arent willing to sign world class players.

Wenger's an idiot, Arsenal need a striker (who doesn't get injured every week) and a goalkeeper yet all he's bought so far is a defender. I think it's kinda unfair to say anything bad about Fabregas going when his closest friends and national teammates are over at Barca, not to mention everyone wants to play for the best team obv and Wenger's been holding him back for far too long.

Lukaku's still saying he wants to finish his exams and training where he is before moving to Chelsea which is a shame as he's essentially a young version of Drogba, but can't dispute his reasoning really and he has at least said he is interested in coming over afterwards.

Henderson to Liverpool will be interesting to see the results of, personally I don't rate him but my Liverpool fan friends (sickening I know) seem to think he's gonna be of some importance. I guess when you finish mid table anything's exciting.

Arsenal would get somewhere if they bought players to win cups. Wengers tactics of 'getting players for the future' clearly is not working, and to be quite honest Arsenal are probably the 'worst of the big teams' (oh and the Emirates has an absolutely appalling atmosphere, but that is a different topic :rolleyes:

Orient have been pretty quiet so far which is a shame, however I know we will be busy before long. We need a new striker after getting rid of our top scorer lol

I'm not really sure why Barcelona want to sign Fabregas, He isnt better than Iniesta and Xavi. He cant get them out of the Spanish side so doubt he'll do it at Barca. Its typical Wenger spending peanuts on an unknown player for the 'future' while Sir Alex and Kenny Dalglish are shelling out millions on young talent but talent which has experience in the Premier League.

Wenger is an idiot & he does need to go now... We've gone from a team winnng the league or at least coming second every season to a team coming 3rd every season to a team that comes 4th!

I have been a gooner all my life & i always will be but ******* Wenger MUST GO!

I agree with u guys on the Arsenal topic its disgusting!

Also Fabregas to Barcelona... the question on my mind is Will he get played often? & the answer to that is no. He's just being greedy & is only thinking about winning the champions league & being a part of the clebrations.

I'd say between 70-80% of games tbh if they adopt a proper rotation technique. With the way Barca play and the players that they have it would cost them nothing to add one more midfielder to the squad in terms of making people angry at not being played. Pretty sure Fabregas is wanting more from this transfer than just a trophy - this comment would be fair if we were talking about someone like Wilshere who has no connection to the team or viable future there, but for Fabregas it's the right move that should have been allowed long ago

I heard somewhere that Fab was a done deal to barca it just needed to be confirmed and i think it's about time he's shown his loyalty to the club by staying one more year but it's time for him to go.

Also I think nasri will come to Untied if they chase him enough, the big players at Arsenal are leaving because they realize that Wenger doesn't know what he's doing anymore. If a player wants to go, and he's out of/nearly out of contract the club is powerless.

United Transfer news:

Nasri we've stepped up the chase
Got Phil Jone and De Gea pretty much same with young i would think
Modric i think has settled a little he's come out and said he'll make a decision on his future when he gets back from holiday at the end of the summer.
Bebe has gone out on loan
Cleverly and Welbeck are at united agian
O'Shea Brown and Welbeck have been linked to going to Sunderland/Blackburn as a trio but no word on that as such all three have to agree terms and i would imagine no one wants to go.
Berbatov may be moving back state side, this is a massive maybe and I would sort of welcome it?? Undecided on this one.
Owen has got another year which is cool and Nev and Scholes have gone and wouldn't be a complete shock if giggs did after this affair stuff.

It's nice to be back.

Arsenal need to sign a striker, defender and a keeper if they're to have any chance of mounting a serious title charge next season. Benzema, Cahill and Akinfeev are who I'd go for.

Doncaster Rovers need a striker, 2 defenders, attacking midfielder and a keeper otherwise it's going to be another squeaky bum season in the fizzy pop league.

Contenders yes but I can't see how they've improved much so far. They're a far cry from the team that finished 2nd a few years ago and Suarez aside their transfer activity under Comolli has been pretty uninspiring so far, especially if they get Downing.

You might as well continue seeing as you only really need a couple more pieces of the jigsaw. Sanchez would have been perfect for you, as would somebody like Banega/Vidal to replace Barry/

I dont even want Clichy at City, and i'm a City fan. Personally I rate Kolarov so don't want to see him dropped down the order. If we were going to sign another defender I would have much rather seen Gibbs come to City, younger with better potential - Not Clichy.

All I can say is, please Clichy, prove me wrong!

You don't want Clichy at Manchester City? Clichy is arguably one of the best LB's in the Premiership, just behind Ashley Cole and Evra, you could argue he's joint looking at the statistics. Kolarov is a God awful defender but good going forward. We have a lot of games coming up next season and to expect Kolarov to get through them all is just stupidity. Zabba can play on the left but then who will cover on the right for Micah? Clichy will no doubt come into the first team with Kolarov either pushed forward a bit or still getting a good amount of games. He's a great signing for the club and a coup at £7,000,000. Oh and only taking a 7K pay rise? Fair play to the man.

Arsene's selling everyone. Samir Nasri and Fabregas are two players that can't be replaced and look to be on the verge of leaving, I also read that if Cesc departs, super Rob will hand in a transfer request. We'll be playing on Channel 5 in the 2012/2013 season.

I don't see the fuss about Clichy, he was more of an attacking player than a defender. I think he is overrated, but yet who cares he has gone now.. lets see who he is going to replace him with because Gibbs is a very promising piece of a talent but is very injury prone.

Gervinho having Arsenal medical ahead of £11million transfer

The 24-year-old is understood to be in London having agreed terms on a four-year deal, and barring any problems with his medical, Gervinho will become Arsene Wenger’s first acquisition of the close season.

The Ivory Coast international finished an outstanding season in France with 18 goals and, equally important to Wenger, a total of 10 assists.

We've been playing a game of guess who with pictures on the forum and we've got these:

7= Deeney (LB)
8= Andreou (CF)
9= Vine
10= Bouhenna (CB)
11= McDonald?
12= Trotman (cb)100%

Bouhenna is apparently fantastic, 19 year old Algerian who's unattatched but they all look like steady signings.

Nasri could still do a U-turn just like many players have in the past, most recent high profile case would be Wayne Rooney. Especially as he's gone with the squad on the pre-season tour. Theo Walcott may be wanted however he may not wish to go, he may feel he wouldn't fit into Chelsea's system as they don't play with any out and out wingers, it's a very narrow approach although this may change in the new season the players just aren't there for it. Fabregas a done deal? Nothings a done deal in football until it's on the clubs OS.

Fabregas isnt a done deal because Barca won't pay 40m and if Arsene Wenger lets Nasri go for less than 30m Ill be annoyed because 16m for henderson, 20m for downing and 50m for torres? Nasri is much better than all of these players!

Everyone knows he wants to move elsewhere in Europe, he said he was homesick and he went home. Doesn't necesarily mean he wants to do his job at home. And this is why Arsenal aren't winning things because you fans and Wenger are happy with mediocre players. That's what Walcott is. Mediocre, at best. Players like Maxi, Kalou and Nani (others out of the top 4) out performed Walcott last season.

Nani: 23 goals/assists
Kuyt: 20 goals/assists
Van der Vaart: 21 goals/assists

Yes, Walcott is the reason we aren't winning things... bloody hell. Walcott is not mediocre. Maxi and Kalou out performed him? **** off, you know nothing if that's what you think. Nani did yes, but he was one of the best players in the PL last season.

Kalou, Maxi, Dempsey, Kuyt, Malouda, vDv all play in the same position? No, half of them don't.

Walcott - 22 goals/assists in 38 games
Kuyt - 21 goals/assists in 40 games

And in fact, half of your stats are wrong. Only VdV, Malouda and Nani have better stats out of the players you listed.

After, stats don't lie :rolleyes:

Of course, you don't have a bias opinion being an Arsenal fan and all. Hell, even I have a soft spot for Arsenal but the fact is it's players like Walcott that are the reason Arsenal don't win things. They're mediocre players. Song, Diaby, Arshavin, Sagna, Almunia, Fabianski, Koschielny, Denilson, Bendtner, Chamakh - need I go on?

Walcott is a winger/forward - the players I listed are wingers/forwards.

Also, if you cannot get your point across without using profanity and being abusive then I suggest you do not.

And if you think that Song, Sagna and Arshavin are mediocre players I have nothing left to say to you. Seeing as you like stats so much, why don't you look up Arshavins ;)

17 goals/assists, still less than those mentioned and still scored less than those mentioned - what's your point?

17 in 25 starts, a better ratio then most those players.

Out of those players, which ones have better ratios, I would look it up but I cba but I looked up a few.

Malouda hasn't.
Kalou hasn't.
Dempsey hasn't.

In fact, the only ones that have really are Kuyt, Nani and VdV, not to mention that at least 5 of kuyts were penaltys, if not more.

Oh yeah, Dale Jennings has signed for Bayern. He'll be playing for Bayern Munchen II although training in the facilities used by Bayern. Good move for the lad.
