View Full Version : Thinking...
Helloo Im thinking of starting minecraft, it just looks cool that you can build things and stuff, but I want to know more about the game, if I pay the £13.95 what do I get? Like the game forever or is it a pay monthly/yearly thing? What exactly do you/can you do on the game? Also when I download things my laptop usually goes really slow, will this happen with this game?
Thanks, Ben

When you buy minecraft you get it permanently, and at the moment its at a cheaper price due to it being in the beta stages.

Ahh right thanks! What do you do though? Just build things? Like do you have to buy materials or do you get them free?

You spawn in a world, you collect the materials yourself and then build things with the things you've collected. Pretty simple concept.
Also since you're buying it now, you will have to buy it again when it's released (i believe), or future updates or something like that. For now though its free.

Heres what it says on the 'Buy now screen'
When Minecraft is finished, it will sell for about £28.95.
If you pre-purchase now during beta, you pay just £13.95!
Please note that when you buy the game, you're paying for the game as it is right now!
You will also get the full version of Minecraft when it is released. Read the copyright information for more information on your purchase.
So wont I just pay the £13.95? And can you play in browser? Instead of downloading it?

Oh i didnt see that, then yes you just pay that. But u have to pay for any expansions that come out (the updates that come out now are for free). And yes u can play in ur browser but u cant use any mods created by users.

They'll be optional when they're released.
There's all sorts of mods really, hot air balloons, planes, piston blocks and thousands more :P

Haha nice, thanks, I think I am going to start it after watching a few more tutorials :) So basically all you do is build things in the day to survive at night? Can you do it with friends too?
Turns out I got no money in paypal atm :( Bad times
Hmm, I've just been playing the classic version, and when I move my mouse the tiniest bit it just spins me around and I cannot stop it sometimes, will this happen on the payed version?
