I wouldn't be able to cope with that, it'd make me feel dizzy and sick. Not for me thanks Airbus!

Looking out of the aeroplane windows makes me feel sick, so this looks like hell... and the sun would be blinding? Can't see it working very well TBH. Does look very futuristic.

Hang on... don't they have BETTER THINGS to spend their money on?!

I think it looks amazing! I'd love to go on a plane like that. Id guess that the windows would have some sort of blackout thing on them?

Them two quotes represent two oposite people, I personally would enjoy this new plane because I am like Mark and enjoy the idea however other people (like Fire Girl) do not feel comfortable on planes if they're afraid of heights or something so this transparent plane would not be their cup of tea.

Depends on yourself doesn't it! :)

It's not that I'm afraid of heights (which I am, but aeroplanes don't bother me for that 'cos they're so safe), but because looking at scenery/outside whilst travelling makes me ill, I get very travelsick :( I like the idea of things to do (such as the golf game) onboard, distractions are always good! xD

Yeh I didn't mean you were afraid of heights specifically, it was just an example of one of the many reasons people may not enjoy looking out of windows :)

This looks absolutely fantastic and I would be on one of those in a heartbeat (it would be even better if it had a transparent floor too.. ;)). It should be easy enough for them to do; all they need is transparent plastic which is the same strength of the metals which currently make up an aircraft. I feel that air travel as a whole has severely regressed since the demise of Concorde. After so many years, they finally managed to get a superb flying machine; one which could take regular passengers like you and I at the speed of sound, getting us over the Atlantic in just three hours. This was the way forward, and it's such a shame that it's been scrapped and we're still flying at such an (arguably) slow speed.

Ask your parents and it will become clear that in the late 1900's, the vision for the 2000's was futuristic, robots, hoverboards and the likes - hey, all you have to do is watch Back to the Future. Whilst I do think that all this is certainly possible, it would be such a shame if we're let down yet again.

I hate heights but in a plane I don't seem to care!

I'd love this provided the floor wasn't glass! ;)

Don't see how that'd be possible to make.. Nice though, but seems a bit plain.

With a hell of a lot of money. TBH I can't see it going ahead (quite on this extent anyway), it seems much more of a concept than an actual idea. Bit elaborate to spend so much money building virtual golf rooms, when they could use that space for more seats (hence earning them more money per flight).

However, I can see some upgrading going on in first class though, such as the front end of the cabin all being made in the plexiglass (or w/e they use) stuff. First class is already being upgraded like this though, I think it;s the Virgin double decker planes that have the first class 'suites' as such, with massage chairs, and plans for amenities like beauty treatments etc. Little bit OTT... but if I had the money to fly first class then I would not be complaining!!

omg that looks amazing, I would love transparent floor though it might be scary, who cares I would love it so much. Would just be weird being to see around everywhere. Imagine going through a thunderstorm wow

We won't be alive in 2050 people! remember, we got 2012 coming up and then there's global warming climate change to look forward to! On a serious note however, it won't look like this - our expectation of what we think is 'modern' or will be modern always changes, just look at 1950's predictions of what today would look like turned out like.

Well true, it's mad what you can do with money.

Haha I guess but seriously it's not as good, then again it could be an attraction... what would passengers rather have, that or the paint of the airline haha :P

I like how the plane feeds off it's passengers.

To be fair, the rate of technological advancement is exponential so we can't compare 1950-2000 with 2000-2050.

Bloooooming heck that's clever. I still can't help but think it's a rather unambitious target. We have the technology to do that right now (golf.. take a look at the Kinect and Wii).. massage chairs.. etc. :P

Yeah - my dad always talks about a program that used to be on each week that talked about how cars would be flying etc!

Looks like an unrealistic attempt to me. Although, I have said it before and will say it again, when the old program used to be on they didn't even have the technology that meant their ideas COULD be possible, but the concepts coming around now are normally all possible.

ACUPUNCTURE?!

OK that's just freaky. That's when I'll become afraid of flying.

The key word is CONCEPT. It wont happen.
