Banned, For Reporting?

I'm disgusted... I am really starting to believe Habbo is using some kind of automated-ban system for the server when moderators aren't online. I was recently permanently banned for the use of scriping/encouraging the use of scripting.

If you don't mind reading all this let me get on with the story.
As I was in a room, a user by the name of *REMOVED* enters the room. He claimed he has 1800 credits in his purse. We were skeptical about his claim so we questioned him. He then claimed he was using a credits generator which could generate him 40 credits every minute. We obviously didn't believe him. He then says "search on youtube and find a generator". I replied with "no thanks, %100 of generators are viruses that contain keyloggers". I then immediately proceeded to report him to the help tool. The report I made to the help tool went along the lines of "He is claiming he owns a generator which generates him credits and he is encouraging users to download generators." and about 1 to 3 minutes later I recieved a message on the client saying I am permanently banned for the use of scripts/encouraging users to use scripts. So I got banned... for reporting?

During that time period of having *REMOVED* in the room I NEVER said anything on the lines that would ENCOURAGE users to use a generator. So... what the ****! As you can see I am obviously outraged over such a falsely interpreted permaban.

As seen on the Customer Service page, they claim their moderators are PROFFESIONAL.

Proffesional my ass, automated-ban system.
I was banned yesterday night at around 12:00PM. Do you guys think moderators are on at that time?

True, I'm all the way in Canada. EST timezone.

I spent over $100 on Habbo with this account. I've bought prepaid cards, used cellular payments, and mainly credit card payments. I sent them a message regarding this matter. If they reply with a damn robot message I'm going to flip the **** out. I've noticed Habbo Staff are extremely lazy in matters like these. For example, back in 2007 I had an account from Habbo CA. I also had an account from Habbo COM and they were both under the same email address. After the merge happened only my Habbo COM characters appeared on the list. I sent them a message regarding that issue and they proceeded to tell me my account was DELETED from their database. But I know for a FACT that they didn't*Removed* delete it from their databases as I could still visit the Habbo's homepage, rooms, and the name of the Habbo remains taken. After I told their asses that, they then told me to verify I was the owner of the account. I gave them all the information they needed. They then replied with a message saying my information did not match the information from their databases... BUT THEY JUST TOLD ME THEY DELETED MY HABBO FROM THE DATABASES.

Such a scam company, charging a handful of money from a bunch of teenagers and then offering horrible assistance and unfair bans.

If you e-mail them you get an automated reply at first saying they've got your e-mail and to check the FAQ to see if you can help yourself whilst they get round to replying to you personally. (At least thats what they used to do)

There is an element of auto-moderation in habbo where if you're excessively spamming etc you'll be silenced and it can automatically ban you. When you contact them they'll check over the chatlogs in the room, see it's a mistake and re-open your account (:

I hear ringing them is sometimes a good way to get support or e-mail in as a parent (or genuinely get a parent/gaudian to e-mail) as they get a priority reply and usually supported by more senior staff ;) Both of my perm bans were overturned when I e-mailed as a parent about my account :)

Ringing them, as in making a phone call?
What email address do I sent to anyways?

Thanks for the help.

I highly doubt they have automated moderators - it is probably just a mistake :) Don't panic, if you genuinely did nothing wrong you WILL be unbanned.

I sent a request through the Help Tool yesterday. The status of it is saying at "Being processed."

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it suppose to be "Awaiting assignment to a help desk operator."?

Why is it taking so long for it to be processed?

I think they both mean the same - it'll get resolved don't worry

I doubt they didn't have any MODs on (on previous hotels if they didnt have MODs they had to close the hotel) but if many were not on at the time, they may have just been in a rush, its very likely the scammer had reported you, which is a shame, but happens far too often.

Unfortunately due to the nature of chat rooms, mods must be swift to make sure they are ready for anything major so they can deal with it straight away

Sorry you got banned, all we can do is wait

Seen this before, moderators read through the chat logs and use the wrong username on the ban submission form.

Just send customer support an email on the help tool and they'll realise that they're moderators are being dumbasses.

You probably copped the ban instead of the reported user. It has happened to me before, but they were only 2/4 hour bans.

as above, if you have ever been a mod around r63 hotels (retros) you will know that the MOD tool looks like this:

http://uploads.habtasticstaff.com/images/modtool.png

well it probably looks similar..

It's slightly confusing when you have a load coming in at once. So it was probably just a mistake ban. Contact them telling them what
happend :)

Probably if it was automated, they saw you talking about it and ban you due to that. Silly though.

Agreed. Habbo Staff need to look over this thread and do realize their moderator's are horrible. Why was that moderator in such a damn hurry that he didn't even care to read the name of the user who sent the report and the user I reported? Gosh...

I am VIP by the way, I had 20 days left. I've also spent over $100 on Habbo and I've been working on a rare casino. But WOOSH, it all just dissapears like that.

I learned my lesson, don't ever report... ever.
