Hello :)
I was just wondering, is it possible that if a rep gets removed the user still cannot rep you for seven days?
It is slightly annoying when a rep gets removed (positive or negative), then the user -reps you with the exact same comment lol
Cheers

This would be good but probably not the easiest thing to implement :(. Maybe I'm wrong though :P.

Sadly I imagine this will be the case.
It seems a bit unfair though, that if you want to make two valid rep points in 7 days to the same user you can't, yet if someone unfairly reps they can do it again and again :L
Although the big bad forum manager will eat them if they do.

It isn't the most exciting thing to have to waste my time doing though haha

If they -rep you again when it's been removed, report it and I'm sure management will be more than happy to deal with the situation.

how's about, if a user gets more than one rep removed from another user in three weeks the offender gets a warning sent to them, advising them to utilize their tools and privileges on the forum better?

I agree with this, it probably won't happen though haha

I think this is a really good Idea and I think it would work! +Rep

Unfortunately when reputation is removed it's completely purged from the database so there's no way to keep track of it's history, and thus no way of knowing once seven days has gone by.
However, in cases where two users engage in a varient of reputation war (where one reps, the other gets removed, the other reps, gets removed and so on) the Forum Manager set the reputation to neutral so the reoffending member cannot continue dishing out reputation.

a lot of paperwork, but surely with two features managers they can moderate whom is the worst offenders and let scott/super mod's know to take care of it?
i often have no issue of serial -rep's, normally i just get several giant blocks of red from tons of people :].

I deal with the rep and if someones name starts coming up a lot or if like David said people who continue to constantly -rep each other and report it will be dealt with :P

To correct myself, Scott does manage reputation, that was recently changed and one of the reasons was to deal with situations just like you've explained, my bad :P
