How often do you have the same over the counter medicine?

I do not know if you have Advil in Europe. It's just a normal over the counter Ibuprofen thing that people get to relieve general aches or pains.

I normally end up consuming two pills once a day or once every other day for a throbbing sensation behind both eyes - it's right behind where the eye meets the bone on both eyes. I know continuous consumption of Ibuprofens can have catastrophic internal affects on the body and so now I'm paranoid about it.

How often do you take medicines and pills and why?

I'm really paranoid about it. I took about 4 a day for 2 weeks when I had a tooth infection last month and now I'm avoiding it even if I'm really ill.

There's pills that you can take to line your stomach, and stop ibuprofen eating away at it. I'm supposed to take them but idc tbh.

I get migraines all the time :( I got given these Pizotifen pills that supposedly prevent migraines, but I know that nothing does lol.

& normal over-the-counter stuff doesn't do much for me, I have to get prescription painkillers, because they're stronger than over-the-counter. Currently take morphine based painkillers :L

ugh not so much pills, but i get like 8 or 9 tubs a month of aqueous cream for ma eczema.

Martin, that's absolutely worse than consumning so much ibruphen.

I probably use about 1 tub of ibruphen and half a pack of paracetamol a month, usually for migranes.
I also have about 2 shopping bags of **** my doctor gives me a month for some other stuff that i don't bother at ALL with :)

Oh and even though I get free ibruprofen I always buy nurofen because I feel its more effective.

I try to avoid taking ANY painkillers, when we go to the US I get a tub of advil. Probably use about one of them a year though. Also I go through a pack of co-codamol every other month too, cos sometimes advil just isnt enough :(

I never take pills because I am unable to swallow them. I just hate it. I must chew. >_< I don't take medicine either because, well... I just don't. I had penicillin once and it made me sick. I just let my body recover on its own.

me too. prevention is key. i never use pills incase there are side effects :/ they scare me

Not very often I'm rarely ill (touch wood) I take paracetamol like twice a month

I take 1-2 pills a day for Hayfever during the Spring and Summer Seasons. I also take pills for migraines, and Aspirin for really bad migraines where my joints tend to ache as a result of it. And I take Paracetamol or Cocodamol for headaches, and Lemsip for when I get really bad colds.

Only started taking tablets this year really and can only take small coated ones! They just don't go down and I make myself sick trying to take them.
I rarely take them. If I got a headache, ill take medicine instead.

2 paracetamol tablets every day? Do you know what you are doing to your liver?!

Same with ibuprofen, continuous use can be pretty devastating..

Yeah. I hear that his thumbs ended up pretty hench from all that work and he now works as a hand model.
