View Full Version : At what age will you marry?
At what age do you think you'll be ready to get married and start a family?
I know someone who got married aged 18, not because she was pregnant or anything (LOL) but she genuinely loved the guy and then they had a baby girl the same year (she got pregnant after they got married :P). I find that so weird because I'd rather live my life rather than get settled down so quick. The earliest age I'd be happy to get settled down at is about 25 :)

it's not really the age it's more the amount of time we've been together. something like 5 year or more so probably never. late twenties/early thirties, i'm not in a rush.
ive never dreamt of my wedding before but it happened the other day, it was so weird. i hope it never happens again....
i really do not see me standing in a wedding dress ever, i'm scaaared

Aww, that's cute. I imagined late twenties, 27 maybe. But whenever I find the right person really to settle down with.

probably between 23 and 30. i decided i won't really have kids (if i even do) much after 30/31 because i think it's good to still be kinda young with your kids and not be like 60 when they're like 15 yaknow.

Well, my sister married at 27 in August last year, and they're having a baby a couple of days before Xmas, and that seems the perfect time for me. I even have a schedule. Marry at 27-8, have baby 1 at 30, baby 2 at 32 and baby 3 at 33. Then all the babies wont be like my family, each split 7-8 years apart xD

I like the idea of being engaged when I finish university and staying in that status for a few years. So I guess around 25 or so. :)

I'm not sure I could give a specific age. Sometimes certain things make me feel like its not right to get married at all. Other times when I'm talking to one person in particular, I feel like I want to run out and get married tomorrow.
So I'm not sure when is right to. When it is what she wants too and when it will make her happy would be the right time to, I think. Naturally if it got to that point, I'd want to spend my life with her too.

If I was with my current boyfriend now, we suggested marrying when we are 23 as it seems to fit in with everything as mine and his birthdays are on the 23rd and we got together on the 23rd. :)!

Ehm, not to young I'd like to get myself on my feet with a job, nice house and then re-think the whole marriage thing :)

err well me and my boyfriend discussed that we want to have kids before we get married (if we stay together ofc) and we said we'd like to start having children when we're 26 so probably get married when I'm like 30. Probably really sad that we've dicussed all this ha :)

I'll probably be like 90 before I find anyone, but late 20's ideally :D
probably late twenties, early thirties. I'm in no rush to get married at all and you need to find that right person first. :P

I don't understand why anyone would ponder over such a thing. Just let life run its course.

I agree with you, I don't think it's good to plan what age you will get married at, I get the feeling there are a lot of people out there who settle down with someone they don't really care about just to be married before a certain age, whereas I'd rather be alone than married to someone I'm not attracted to. I can't understand the former viewpoint, I guess some people are so scared of dying alone that they are willing to drastically reduce their quality of life.
23 to 25. Only If i met someone i love. After that age, nahh not gonna think of having a relationship anymore lol.

Who knows, If all goes well with this girl i been talking to lately, might be getting married at 18, if not then who knows. I can't imagine my self being with another girl for awhile after that.
To be honest I'd probably only get married if it was very very very important to my partner.

It all depends on financial circumstances.
Why have kids early if you are not easily able to look after them? My friend is sixteen and her dad is 71 now. And a multi-millionaire.
