Any updates on when Jin will be able to fix this? (ie the 30 seconds before anything becomes live)

It's that time of year when Jin is not online as much due to working away and so on, so there is no current ETA on this. From Jin's signature:
So you all know where I am and when...
13/06 - 28/06 :- Glastonbury Festival
28/06 - 11/07 :- Holiday
13/07 - 24/07 :- Latitude Festival
25/07 - 13/08 :- Big Chill Festival
22/08 - 1/09 :- Reading Festival
1/09 - 5/09 :- Electric Picnic

As I've said earlier, if your sysadmin is away for 3 months, you have problems and there should be a second or even third admin. If something was to go wrong now what would happen? Would we have to wait until September for it to be fixed?

As we have said earlier that is up to Jin and that decision can only be made by Jin. If something went wrong with the website right now, you wouldn't wait until September.

That was my first reaction to Matt's post. All very well Jin being away, but he needs at least someone to keep the server in check.

As if you're completely powerless to suggest to Jin that it may be a sensible idea. And if something went wrong tomorrow we'd be waiting till 11/07 because he's on holiday.

I can suggest things all I want to Jin, doesn't mean he will come on the next day and someone will fix the cache problem. If the site went down tomorrow, Jin would be contacted and I'm sure Jin would contact someone who could do it for him if he wasn't able to. He has done that in the past.

To be completely fair I rarely notice the caching at all whilst browsing the forum, only on the odd occasion do I notice a VM appears as new when it shouldn't, but it disappears as soon as its refused to leave. As Matt's said we have done everything in our power to fix this. We don't have root access to the server Habbox is hosted on so we can't attempt to correct this ourselves - sooner or later Jin will be on again and this will be brought up with him and corrected.

Why does this happen to me every time I get a PM?
It seems to be it is bought up at least once a month and nothing is ever done, has Jin ever looked at the "Report server errors here" thread? Does he even know it exists?

I'm not sure why some users would notice it more than others (if that's even the case) but as I said before this will be fixed when Jin is on - there's other optimization methods we can look into in lieu of this one which results in the laggy caching.

I notice it quite a lot to be honest, and definitely every day :(. It's whenever I view a thread and then go back to the forum, view all threads in a forum and then go back to the index, or view a VM and then go back to the index, etc. Hopefully it can be fixed as soon as possible, though :D.
