Hey guys, I was just wondering about two things!

One:
How many subjects should I pick for my Sixth Form Options? Either 4 or 5?

Two:
If anyone has taken these subjects, how where they as to how good where they to learn, and how fun, ect...:

- History
- English Literature
- Art
- ICT

I am thinking of only picking 4 :), but should I pick 5?

Well I only did 4 AS and 3 A2 and I don't think I don't think my grades would of been as good if I took on another one so I wouldn't bother if its going to bring your other grades down by taking on too much. What courses are you thinking of doing because it would be wise to see if they need 5. Only one I did on your list is history. It was probably the hardest from my other 2 subjects geography and re but I love it and im doing it at uni now =]

I do both History and English lit and thoroughly enjoy both. English lit is super super fab and quite a well balanced course

Do not take 5 lol

I did lit at college and it was pretty good, but as with all subjects it can depend on the teacher - some of the materials we had to get through were awful but she managed to make it a bit less of a chore. The actual learning is rather fun though I thought. I also did art but only at AS because the teachers for that were ridiculously rigid in following the syllabus which obviously restricts you creatively and isn't much good for an art course.

History will depend almost entirely on what the things they study at your sixth form is. I chose not to take history at A level because for the past 4 years I'd been stuck doing World Wars in it at school, and that was on the course list at my college too. A bit much of the same thing for me to have enjoyed, especially as you almost certainly will be doing war poets in English :P

Well tbh everything you're gonna chose is going to be harder than you're used to. The gap between GCSE's and AS's are really quite big and you are going to struggle a lot more than you did with GCSE's. History and English lit are both hard but tbh they're interesting, (fairly) stimulating and yes, a bit hard but I'd rather they were hard than intensely boring.

Thanks everyone <3!
This has helped me a lot. I'm gonna pick:

- History
- English Lit
- Art
- ICT

Thanks guys! Hehe, and as for knowing the teachers. I won't because I dunno whether to go to one Sixth Form or another one, because I have applied for both and I think I've got into both...
