I don't play the FSX version but from time to time I will load up FS9 and do a flight on VATSIM.

Is FS9 better than FSX? I forgot about VATSIM, I will download that when i get back to the UK. I need someone to teach me the whole navigation crap, I can never line up with the runway :(

Idno how to use ILS lol. All I can do is use the default planes (boeing 747-800 and Bombardier one) and set the autopilot to the heading, speed and alt but never works. :(

precision something something something. its loads of software for planes you can use in fs04 which have these fmc's and stuff. you can also download liveries for them like easyjet and ryanair and thomson blah blah blah

Ocassionally fly with Matt and Tom, fs9 though.

I wrote an ILS guide on hxf years ago, you could probably find it tbh.

Also control Scottish and Irish airports, Vatsim.

PMDG - http://www.precisionmanuals.com/

They provide the best Boeing 737's, 747 and Mcdonnel Douglas MD-11(F) you can get,

Wilco Publishing - http://www.wilopub.com/

They provide 737s and the best airbus models available.

Both come with excellent manuals and enough youtube tutorials to get anybody started. I first started using the B747 (PMDG) and I used a tutorial flight of youtube.

FS9+FSX. Also into building simpits now, don't have time for VATSIM unfortunately.
I believe Matt bought the 747, but the majority of us, just downloaded it. :P

I found my old FS9 discs but it doesn't like working properly on Win 7 x64, So i removed it and i've gone back to FSX. I managed to "find" a copy of the PMDG 747 but the Flight Displays like to go black after 30seconds or so and I can't set anything like the Altitude or heading as it only goes in one direction. So i need to find a fix for it because i don't really want to fork out £35 for it... ha.

Nevermind, got it all working now haha. Re-installed it cured the Flight Display issue and I forgot it was a right click and left click on the k**** to change it up or down. *Embarassed*
