New HxHD Layout

Well it's that time again when HxHD get a new summer layout, this time I think it's fair to say it's amazing! I love it and it has a great summer feel to it.

Thoughts? I have a few criticism though, I don't think the lodge tables fit in well with the parasols on top and the sea shell near the door will cause problems if walkthrough isn't on. Apart from that i really like it!

It's amazing, especially the picnic part. Good work to whoever designed it.

Only thing I would say though is to disable the stickies so people can't place them on the wall because it looks really tacky.

I think stickies are disabled, as I can't see a sticky poll :P.

Can I also make another suggestion, I think the staff area should be extended along 1 square to the right, it is quite small, especially since there are new trialists.

I probs missed those when I had to delete the 200 stickies that were in there LOL that made my fingers bleed irl :'(

I also have just noticed that room events will not occur no more because the other half of the room has been decorated, won't that cause some problems when and if the department are hosting an event or promotion?

I don't think they're doing them anymore, events get too popular these days to do them. Also, they could link a tele like the lottery was last night.

That would be cool to have but I don't think it is necessary, up to Martin tbh and whether there is space to hide the wired.

I believe plans are being made, and I think this layout is here to stay for the whole summer. So no events for the next 2 months would be pretty bad for the help desk!

Hmm Im not sure whether to have the boat moving, it might create more lag than there already is within the room (not sure if it causes lag), and im not sure whether it would look right in a small area of water. It could also crash into someone and we could get sued. :(

Have extended the staff area a little bit now- we do have a lot of staff at the moment! :D


In terms of events, there aren't any plans for HxHD events until a couple of weeks where we are planning something special, and we already have arrangements made for this so it won't be a problem. :D

I agree with the lodge tables, I think coloured plasto tables would look better. The staff are has been extended btw.

Nice idea :), although I think the inflatable boat is too big to be floating up and down the water when there isn't much of it :P. Plus people could be in the way and then it could mess the whole thing up, depending on how it's wired. Maybe a small boat somewhere but nothing more in my opinion :P.

20 people can sit down, which compared to the old smaller helpdesk layouts isn't too much of a difference since you could only fit like 25 people maximum anyway. :P The rest can either bob up and down in the water, hide in the holiday romance thing or stand somewhere xD

Same here. It's freezing here and it's seems so sunny in that room.

I really like it, I just think the tree stump chairs should be replaced as I think they look odd and don't blend in. :P
