Don't quit man, it sucks but try find out your mistakes and learn from them. Even if you want to quit now don't give your account away because next week you could change your mind entirely.

the account he's talking about was given to one of his 'friends' from another forum and this morning she woke up to find that the password to said account was changed then he made this thread.
If you're stupid go ahead and take the account but if you're smart then don't

@kyle (dno if this forum has mentions) i don't know when he hacked it back as i hadn't used it for a while, the members on it ran out on the 9th. i tried to log onto it yesterday morning and the password had changed, i had set up an email for recovery but it said it didn't exist or w/e. the adventurers log shows use of the account to the 23rd (well it did yesterday), so he'd been using it for i don't know how long.

Kyle
29-06-2011, 01:40 PM
oh right. it was probably actually hacked then lol... probably someone off bw who knew his login and previous pws

sad though to give an acc away and then just randomly hack it back and take all the stuff. SCAMMER

LOL at this thread.
Jake, you never cease to amuse!

And the people butthurt... It's Jake, what do you expect? He's been doing this kind of thing for year and years.

But on a serious note, it's his account, he has every right to take it back. Just be glad that you were "given" it and didn't buy it.

How is Shane, anyway? tell him hi from me.

Sorry, but people shouldn't have to expect that some loser is going to give them an account then revert it or whatever?

Desperate for online **** or what

Fact is, it's HIS account. He has every right to take it back. Account sharing is against the rules anyway... And with all rule breaking there is an element of risk. Although not in this case because... The person who was "given" the account didn't really lose anything... Since it wasn't theirs in the first place. And it looks as if they weren't even using it anyway. Common sense should tell you if something is too good to be true... Then it probably is.

I have no idea what your last sentence is...

Wait so if I tell you I don't want my iPod anymore, and give it to you, then one month later go in to your bag/house and steal it back - you wouldn't care? Despite the fact you may have bought music for it since then?

That is like this account, people may have paid for more membership, earned a lot of gold (so yes they would be losing something!), then a low life who let them have an account (which isn't unheard of, if you didn't know), steals the account back?

That isn't fair, and quite simply pathetic.

Totally different situation. Giving someone an iPod isn't going against Apple's T&Cs for one.

It might not be fair, I never suggested it was. Fact still remains, it's his account, he can do what he likes with it. Any effort/money put into that account was done so with risk. It doesn't take much common sense to understand those risks... I certainly wouldn't put money into an account a stranger on the internet gave me. Hell, I wouldn't even with a friend (especially a friend like Jake who is well known for doing stuff like this).

No, he has to abide by the rules as well. If he is giving someone his account he is still at fault.

What rules? There's no rule saying "you must not take your account back if you give it to someone" because rules state that account sharing is against the rules.

Yeah, it's a douchey thing to do... But don't **** bricks over it.

No but it's still classed as account sharing, feel free to ask on the runescape forums if you don't believe me.

It's not account sharing because he gave it to her then claimed it back. It's not like they were both active playing on it together.

Richie is correct its still classed as account sharing, especially in Jagex's eyes.

There will be multiple logins from very different Ips.

LOL what? I've been saying it's account sharing from my first post? The fact that Jake has broken that rule is irrelevant... The point is, the person who accepted the account took a risk when putting money/time/effort into an account which wasn't theirs.
