Every other neighbour is using the same service or using your router to connect to the internet? If the latter, just encrypt your connection. 192.168.0.1 is probably your router's IP. Connecting to your router will allow you to change settings, encrypt your network etc. Go for WPA-PSK.

Problems loading page?
Is there a way i can actually see who's connected?
E.g computer names as of such?

There is a CMD prompt to show devices on your network, I cannot remember it for the life of my, try google.

Yeh i have no software to password it, plus the fact that the router's wifi keeps going on and off, any possible ways to fix this :@

should be in the router settings

The guy who installed it should have put a password on it for you. If not, demand an engineer to come back out.

The dude who came didn't even put it together he spent 4 hours putting a new line in then he was gone :/

Do you have the router make and model available? That way you could get suggestions on how to set up a password and access the control panel.

Yeah if you find your routers model number and do a search for it, maybe try your ISP's support services, some have forums, faq's with the info.

If the guy didn't do anything with the router, it should have a default username and login. Some are just the same for each router, some use stuff such as the serial number, the best bet is to look up your make.

Once you've found the routers IP and the default login details you can easily go in and change settings. You need to encrypt it with a key. For example if someone tries to get onto my net they need the WEP key.

Or look on the bottom of it, the admin username/pass is usually on the sticker on it.

I severely doubt that.

plug the router in via ethernet and edit the settings that way. If you don't know what the router IP is, then look at the gateway IP. My TalkTalk router IP is 192.168.1.1

to stop your neighbour from using your network, put a password on the network (WPA2-PSK if possible), disable SSID broadcast and then setup MAC address filtering (probably going a bit overkill though)

I severely doubt that.

There's probably ways to get around it yeah, but then there are ways to get around everything. I'm sure if someone can hack the white house, they can hack someone's net, but for the majority of people using a simple key will work.
