Habbox.com is 8 years old today! We have decided to create this sort of memories thread where you can discuss the times of habbox over the past eight years and what you miss, what you don't miss and just talk about what Habbox was like back in the day.

I'll staff off with some I can remember:


Remember when HabboxRadio split and became RadioHabbo and then HabboxLive was created in it's place?

Hmm, where to begin?

Mizki, bigbutsound, TooClose, Seacat, JackHb, MissAlice, the Hobba that used to hang around with Alice but her name has left me, Leah and Immenseman are the names that come to mind. The first 6 made Habbox perfect in my eyes, they were down to earth and didn't need to be professional because they didn't feel they had to.

When Habbox had dirty Habbo pictures on the site and got removed from the Official List, after someone had a hissy fit.

Habbo wise, there was 'The Habbo Games' which was the last event I recall before The Great Habbo depression set in. Jibbi, Dionysus and a few others got heavily involved with the community, something I've never seen or heard of since. The game of 'it' in Hallway 1 was legendary :P

Hobbas, Habbo eXperts and real Moderators - not the apes they've got running the show at the moment :D!

I remember when Habbo was simple and easy to use too, back when Versions had numbers and made sense :P Now it's just a mess.

Does anyone else remember the scandals following Habbo Staff and where they worked and what they did? I think one of them got discovered on a business profile site. She was the staff liason/community manager at the time, I think. Her name was something like GlamourKitten (or very close, it was ages ago :P)

- I didnt set up my encoder, had to get wiki to help me
- I left my mic on half way through a song, where I was singing Rihanna I think
- About four of my songs swore
- I got told off by Matt or James I think for having a crappy song title
- I dropped my laptop

My other memory was meeting Tori.. On skype, when she screamed down my ear about a certain ex DJ.. o.O Then started singing willow smith loudly.. the awkward moment when I look around and dads there looking at me funny >_>

Then discovering someone was on his account, he signed in and found all his furni in his hand.

Sadness when HabboxRadio staff left. Mizki and jrh2002 being banned others too. Feeling caught in the middle of what had been 2 very good friends. Then giving sierk several weeks notice that I was quitting, this was followed by another bombshell for sierk when DJ3000 quit and removed lots of threads, and many more staff left too. Feeling sorry for sierk :( but wanting to stand by my decision.

Hoping to be a Hobba, and having to say goodbye to them. Becoming one of the first 30 X’s, with my good friend Kroziun.

Shocked at being elected to the Habbo Council, getting a message from Callie asking me to go to her room. The council was dissolved a few months later.

I got banned for negativity? Surely MAD should of used insulting or inappropriate behaviour? Seeing as I outright told him what he was when he talked down to you :P The negativity rule was only made because he got fed up with everyone disliking his decisions but he couldn't do anything about it other than make up a rule to protect him. Was it ever used in a different context, which didn't include him? I don't recall a time someone was banned or cautioned and he wasn't directly involved.

Quite a few members over the years have had name changes, something I have never felt the need to do, and I don’t think you have either. There are quite a few members threads/posts that I tend to read with interest and enjoy reading because I recognise their names from previously good posts, and therefore want to read what they have to say. You fall into that unique category, so don’t go changing your name ;) You’re special :P

I would love to see a directory/library where we can look up a name, and see all the previous names attached to that member, but I imagine some members may want to hide.

When the listeners were 100-300+ in peak times...I so wanted to be a DJ back then, kept getting rejected :') good times.
When people would just randomly give you furni at DJ's parties...I once got given a gold bar, i felt so rich

When the pool got closed - I lol'd.
Ludus (I'm sure that was his name). He was a good Assistant Hotel Manager, he visited my room once ;D
