A new phone has been lauched called the "HTC Status." The phone is essentially made for facebook. Launched through American network AT&T we are sure the phone will be a huge hit with it's android 2.3 based smart phone.

What do you guys think? Going a bit over the top or is this a must-have gadget,

Alex

don't see the point in it being essentially made for facebook :S

That's what I thought! There's many more features than just Facebook. Maybe avid Facebook users might think this mobile is a must-have?

It's also known as the HTC ChaCha and its proven quite popular, apparently the keyboard is really easy and comfortable to type on.

The keyboard did look rather nice in photos, but I personally agree with Neversoft and I think it's a bit over the top.

It's not really made for Facebook... it just has a Facebook button. The keyboard is great though.

have to admit the keyboard does look pretty nice. Puts me off is the facebook button because i dont use facebook. Even though I don't have to use the button, it just looks odd :S Like what is the actual point of that button lol

i hate the look of it, full QWERTY keyboards only look right on BlackBerry!

The ChaCha isn't really a dedicated Facebook phone. This evil device (http://new.inqmobile.com/products/inq-cloud-touch) is the real deal and even admits it.

No friends lol

Can't get my head around this, people are using facebook less and less for the more advanced stuff and only really want to be able to browse, comment and at the most upload photos, which any smartphone and a ton of normal/old ones even can do

Specifications wise this isn't a great phone, especially with the low resolution screen!

Going a bit over the top, when you can simply sign-up to Facebook mobile on an ordinary phone rather than go out and purchase a phone essentially made for Facebook.
