I was out tonight and there was a fight on the dancerfloor with two guys and my cousin + his friend. I went in between them trying to break it all up and all I can remember is a bouncer headlocking me and my cousin and throwing us out. I threw no punches and simply went in the middle of the fight and separated the fighters yet I was threw out and assaulted. My neck is now injured when I move it to the right. What do I do now? I feel so annoyed at this as the bouncers said I was thrown out for fighting when I asked them and then they told me to **** off :s

I've seen this happen a lot, you won't get anywhere. The best thing you can do in a bar fight is to stay well clear because as soon as you get involved the bouncers just see you as part of the problem.

ever heard the quote "nice guys finish last"
the bouncers are there to break up fights.. you don't pull people over for speeding? no you leave it for the police..

The bouncer probably didn't realise you were trying to break them up. I don't think you'll get anywhere, but you could always just email them and explain the situation... At best, you might get an apology from the manager or something.
My uncle is a bouncer and tells me this kind of thing all the time. He just says anyone involved in anything like that gets thrown out no matter what. He once told me there was a girl thrown out because there was powder on the floor and she was near it and at the time they thought it was drugs but realised afterwards it wasn't but they still take measures like that.

This is the analogy I was gonna make yeah.
Obviously you were looking out for your cousin but that's still getting yourself involved in the fight, and considering a hell of a lot of people try to "help" their friends in these situations by attacking the other assailants, there's only one course of action available to the bouncers

There's nothing you can do :P (as annoying as it is). Nothing would happen to the bouncer, this happens all the time. You will just have to learn from the experience and not get involved again.

Probably not much you can do... although you can ask them to see if there is any CCTV footage of the incident, if there is and it clearly shows you are innocent then you could take it up with an accidents claim agency.
Not sure what the law is on requesting CCTV footage, but it could well come under the freedom of information act in which case they'd have to provide you with a copy upon request. (AFAIK).
You won't get nowhere, I see bouncers put 2 guys in hospital once.. cleared them out .. they never get charged nowdays.

You can use all sorts of privacy laws for the other people in the club at the time to get around this.
There's nothing you can do OP, live and learn.

I have something similar to this, well more just the urge to click my neck quite often.

I can completely understand the bouncer's actions, although they shouldn't do anything that leaves lasting injuries.
If you think it's an actual case of assault, surely you would have gone to the police?
Clubs/pubs tend to go through a sort of agency thing to get bouncers, it's very rare these days that they hire them directly. Find out if they're hired directly or through an agency and complain at the highest level you can, you could end up with a night of free drinks :)
