I am going to be doing a Access to Uni course for a year at college learning about coding etc, I hardly know a thing anymore. I was wondering, to give myself a head start to try and learn HTML and CSS - I know basics but would like to really get to grips with the language.

How long roughly would you say it would take to really understand it?

I'd say the time it would take to learn is how good you are at picking up things really.

I suppose some people like to learn coding different ways, like I would have a little look at the basics of the language at W3Schools and then download a free web template and play around with the source (trial and error).

Best of luck. :)

It took me a while to learn but if you actually read up on things on http://w3schools.com you'll learn it fast.
