Stupid question, surely?

Option one: iPhone '3' if you have a smaller budget
Option two: iPhone 4 if you can afford it - why the hell would you get an older version?
Option three: Wait for the iPhone 5 which will be out in a few months..

As said above, depends what budget you have & how badly you want an iPhone.

If you do have a bigger budget then i would also, like said above wait for iPhone 5 to come out

I got a used iPhone 4 and I have a carrier upgrade (in Canada we have 3 year contracts standard) in October so I'll be using that to get a deal on a 5.

I'd go for a 4, I don't think it's going to be called the iPhone 5, I've read they're going with the same pattern as the 3g/3gs

I'd say what has been said and go with iPhone 5 (or whatever they are calling it).
I have the 3gs, it's not that great. 4 is better and I'm sure 5 will be even better than that.

If you wait a few months, you could get the iPhone 4s/5. Alternatively, you could go for the iPhone 4 which will probably be cheaper then, compared to now.

If you want a better looking phone with slightly more battery life and FaceTime get the iPhone 4.

If you wanna wait for a newer phone which will be way more expensive, wait for the iPhone 5.

It won't be more expensive unless for a massive huge reason... which won't happen, yes as always with Apple you pay for the brand etc etc but it works. AND YOU'LL GET IMESSAGE CUZ IT'S A BBM FOR IPHONEZ

Actually when the iPhone 5 is released it'll be the same price as the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4 will replace the 3GS at it's current price point.

No wonder RIM is going down the ****ter, not only is there the obvious fact that Blackberry's are pretty lame when it comes to features and are entirely reliant on BBM, the reliability is absolutely awful, everything seems to go wrong with them. My father is the only person I know who's Blackberry hasn't broke, funnily enough he's the only person I know who uses a Blackberry for business too so maybe there's correlation?

The rumored iPhone 5 is just the iPhone 4S (An upgraded/newer version of the iPhone 4) so yeah.

A lot of digging has been telling me it's more likely the 4S.. Like 3G, 3GS.
iPhone 4S is more probably than the iPhone 5, just sayin'

Find me a site stating otherwise?Find a site proving what you're saying? Actually don't bother as there's dozens suggesting both iPhone 4S's and iPhone 5's which leads me to conclude, no one knows other than Apple (As previously stated).

Personally I'd lean towards the iPhone 5 however as it's been 18 months in the pipeline which would suggest there's more than just a few minor upgrades to the iPhone 4 as they've had longer to develop it. Cashless payment systems and 4G networks are both still strong possibilities.
