[READ] Dragon Throne and V Guitar Scam

I had someone try it on me just now, and following Sam (Kfnx) being scammed, I'm sure this is what many are doing so watch out!

When people put the dragon throne in first, they can put in as many V Guitars in after this and it will show in the same box (however when you hover over it, it will show the V Guitar).

Be careful when buying dragon thrones, especially when buying more than 1.

My tip is to buy in 1s, and then hover over the throne to check if its legit.

Thanks for the tip. Make sure you report whoever tried scamming you, too. But saying that you might get banned yourself... You know what MODs are like.

Although you would struggle as they make them unique on purpose.

I swear I hovered over it though, unless I did before he put the '2nd' one in I have no idea. However, I have submitted a ticket, and I am only 15c down from the scam, hopefully they will be banned!

The Skull Guitar seems to be 4011 now, so seems as though it has been fixed :D.

It was always the V Guitar and not the Skull Guitar :P

I saw an event '2 dragon thrones 80c' and decided I'd buy them.

I put 4 sacks into the trade and I accepted before him and there were two thrones in the trade. He then accepted (without taking anything out) and I clicked confirm.

However, it said I had one new thing in my inventory meaning I had a new wall item. It turned out this was a V Guitar. Now I have no idea how this happened as I am always cautious when trading, many people said I got quick traded but how could I have done? There was only 1/9 trade box being used and there were two thrones in the trade?

Do you think there is any point contacting Habbo about this?

Was just the v guitar as both the V Guitar and Dragon Throne have conflicting unique numbers, i doubt habbo would have come on to fix the dragon throne to a different number but cause it to clash with something else. They'd use a script to detect clashes in unique number, well they should do anyway, it's easy enough to do. I may make something and see if i can find anymore conflicts, that way we can see if there are anymore scam opprotunities we need to look out for.

EDIT:

I've just contacted Habbo about this issue (as i suppose many of you have) but i've included the data i found and the number clash, that way they know 100% how to get this fixed.

Good boy Dan :D I really hope they fix this soon because people are getting scammed on the game when it looks 100% legit. Everyone expects there to be scamming and hacking outside the game, but when it's inside the game, no one expects it :(

errr, what? lol this post made no sense.
the program of the dragon throne?! I didn't realise it was dragonthrone.exe

It's a simple mistake, they've assigned the same furni ID and people have been taking advantage of it.

Everyone makes mistakes.

You make it sound as though they made the mistake on purpose, but I'm quite sure they didn't :)!

I don't think they can do anything unless you report the scam as it happens. This is what they told me via the help tool, even when I'd provided them with picture evidence of the scam.

Yeah I saw a couple of posts about this, thanks for the heads up.

I've put my trade room MOD's on alert about this scam ~ the items used in this trade aren't permitted to be sold or bought in the room until the problem is fixed.
