Looking for a basic laptop for my sister.

Dells ones have Intel hd 3000 graphics.

Question, will they play CSI games too?

Intel HD 3000 GPUs are very low end, you'll be lucky to play much on them AFAIK

Got for an XPS instead (despite the price hike.. :L)

My sister and I have one already, just a birthday present (er yeah my dad is paying - not me lol), so I suggested to him that although the Inspiron is great for just uni work, she would be better off getting a slightly more expensive one for leisure - 5 minutes later.. :L

Yes i'd say by the looks of it, it should have no trouble with CSI games.
