Lost Monkey application - released!

Released in the Finnish app store. Completing the game will get them a free pet monkey on Habbo.fi.

A news article related to it was published in the Finnish Hotel today. Unfortunately, it does seem you actually have to play the game to get the monkey + related furniture - that's what is says on the news article too. The catalogue page of the monkey just gives a link to AppStore. They also released a whole new public/guest room with some of the furniture showcased, but with a unique background.

EDIT: The FAQ kinda answers all: they're not planning to put the monkey for sale in the catalogue. Also, by playing the game, you seem to get the following: a monkey pet, a badge (guessing it's just the achievement) and bananas, banansmoothie-machine and crystal skull. Oh, and one monkey per game.

Theres a lost monkey room on Habbo.fi which is a guest room suited out to look like a public room. Hope that room is the future of Habbo hotel, and we could do that to our rooms!

I think it's great to see habbo diversifying with new applications. I also wonder if the reason they changed the fonts was actually to do with the fact volter wouldn't work on apple devices. It's been in development for a while as the habbo banner is one colour, now for some reason it's two. (a darker and lighter yellow)

Its a good idea and I guess it gives them an idea of how popular their applications are and it is a bit of a test run for if they do decide to venture out into a Habbo App.

The CEO of Sulake said in March, that they would be looking at Mobile Applications;



“This year, our focus will be 100 percent on growing Habbo Hotel into an even bigger and more engaging social game and community for teens around the world. New social games and features inside Habbo Hotels and Habbo mobile apps, in particular, are a significant growth opportunity for us this year,”
