Ok so I sold my iPad 1 to my brother and now have enough for the new iPad 2. I'm just wondering if you guys think that it is worth it? I watch films, use a few very good apps (FL studio) and others and also like to store pictures and so on. Also to talk to my girlfriend via facetime and also to use the internet on (Facebook/twitter) etc and ofcourse music.

I'm just wondering do you guys think that it is worth getting an iPad to use it for them reasons? Most people I spoke to said there is no point getting one unless your super rich or actually in need of one businessly..

Well, the iPad 3 will NOT be coming out this year, but it may come out Autumn 2012 as in my opinion Apple won't release 2 iPads within the same year. So I personally would go for one. If you are going to be using it.

I don't think you need to be super rich to spend £400/£500 on an electronice device, but anyway.

In terms of business, I don't see why someone in business would necessarily need an ipad? my dad is friends of some who has made an app for a certain part of business which makes sense, but an iPad provides very little that is going to be an advantage in business..

To be honest, my view is if you and afford it and think you will use it (I don't care what for!) Buy it!

You've convinced yourself you'd like one and what you would use it for, so in my eyes unless you want the extra portability of a smaller iOS device which is capable of all of that stuff- go for it?

Work out what you need it for. Because you might be able to get an actual laptop or PC with similar programs for cheaper.

I had a debate with someone a bit back on the iPad. They went on about how fun it would be to walk around outside with one which I questioned the actual practicality about it - the size for one thing, the ease of holding it and moving around in town, and also the fact your showing it out to potential criminals.

Interestingly I got him to admit he likes it because it is nice. I think people seem to get the iPad more for how it looks, kind of like a fashion accessory, than what it can actually do.

I bought mine to use as an eReader and to use for schoolwork (in which it's proven to be incredibly useful). It has great battery life so it's a great machine to watch movies on - if I were you I'd get a 64GB iPad for movies.

Well if you think you'll use it, of course it's worth it IMO

I personally couldn't live without my iPad now haha, I use it for everything- movies, games, schoolwork, watching YouTube, music...

I may be a bit biased but I say go for it!
