wondering if there was any other ting tings fans here? :)

their new album has been pushed back time and time again but apparently is coming in october. they've played a few songs live so far but haven't chosen all the songs so some of them might not end up on there, but i really hope this is on there because it's beautiful...

the first song they play in this video, "silence", i think is the next single because they apparently filmed a video for it a few days ago. all three songs in this video sound really good except some parts get really repetitive.

I really like the Ting Tings and can remember playing their songs over and over again when they first surfaced and became big.

I'll defiantly be watching them and listening to the new album (I didn't realize they were releasing one until now!)

I don't know much about them but I know they sing 'That's not my name'. I'll be on a look out for this album.

i used to really like a few of their songs. shut up and let me go is a tune haha. i'll be very surprised if their comeback is successful though, think they've left it too long. it's a bit like hard-fi (dunno if anyone remembers them ha) but they were really big in the indie pop-circle (kinda the same as the ting tings) in 2005 and tried to return 3 years later and just failed miserably. the 'mainstream' has changed back to being more hip-hop/pop.

This.

I really liked The Ting Tings, saw them in Wolverhampton and met them before. Songs were great - they also had one on a Fifa soundtrack, so they gained a bit of popularity.

But like Bthy said, they have fallen behind and will never regain their status, like Hard-Fi.

they can write the best of songs, and the worst of songs, We Started Nothing was really patchy for me :(

Be The One - brilliant
Fruit Machine - ugh
We Walk - great
Traffic Light - STOP PLEASE
Great DJ - ono
Shut Up.. - :)

i agree. similar thing happened to kate nash as well. but if they do it right it could all go well, but when you have a successful first record you need to follow it up quickly with a second tbh otherwise people will just disregard you. at the end of the day i don't mind how well they do tbh as long as i love the album. but i would never rule their chances of success out, cos you just never know in the music biz really.

i actually really liked we started nothing. traffic light and impacilla carpisung are really the only ones i don't like much. but i don't even hate those.
