Habbox should make a cino :D

having habbox as a cino is great since habbox is made up of people from all around the globe the cino can be open 24/7. Our cino would be very trusted since we are a fansite <3 thats all i can think of atm :D

An official casino for habbox? Okay here is my feedback

It's a great idea, however nobody exempt the owners of Habbox can be completely trusted, and I see casinos as just a way to take coins from habbos, not to mention habbo would probably not approve an official fansite doing that.

edit: However I would approve of the idea if it wasn't open 24/7 and was only open for 2 hours at a time hosted by the owners of habbox only. That way we know we wont get scammed.

This was discussed a few weeks back, the majority said no and agreed it was a bad idea for numerous reasons (mainly scammers giving habbox a bad name), so one wasn't made :P

Eventhough i made the thread before, i agree that it would only cause hassle for Habbox.

In the end though it would be up to Matt G or Martin to decide on this one. But i doubt it would ever happen, it would be nice but just will not work in practice.

I think we've pretty much come to the conclusion that it's a no. The only way I will see something like this happen will either be in terms of a fun event thingee where I may run a 'free casino' where people can just play the casino games and win prizes, a bit like the free grabber that we had in HxHD which was a success imo- however there will be no 'betting' etc. Things like this can easily cause problems, are a pain in the ass to moderate and can quite easily get out of control. There are far better things we can be doing to promote the site on the client, and I just think this isn't a route I would like to go down in all honesty.

I still stand by this, it would cause too many problems, however I think perhaps we could have a norm casino or something for fun where people could win norms at some point as a one off, not as an official room though. I will look into getting something set up soon, I'm not sure your reasons for having a casino are strong enough really, since there are many alternative routes we could go down, and pretty soon there will be something open at all times in which the community can participate in and which staff can run etc. Thanks for suggesting it again, however I just can't see it working sorry!
