Merging accounts

Hey,

I recently got this account unbanned, Which left my other one having to be banned. Obviously you'd think it wouild be easier for you to just merge both my accounts, i understand this happened around last year;

But obviously my account was banned so i couldn't request for it to be merged, I'd like to know why you can't just merge peoples accounts often?

I mean i understand you don't want people registering duplicate accounts but obviously if they still want to use the forum and their other account is banned they have no other option than to make a new account, but surely that just clogs up the forum with more un-used accounts which creates a bigger database which causes even more trouble!

Surely by merging accounts every 2-3 months or when a user requests it would make this such a easier and more helpful solution to all these problems?

Agree the merging accounts would be alot easier and simple, Make life alot easier for people who have had multiple accounts

Also, if your account got unbanned then obviously you were cleared of wrongdoing on that account (or were forgiven... :rolleyes:) and so to lose all of the posts etc on your new, unbanned account is a bit unfair really when you only made the account as your first one was banned.

Hope that makes sense, it did in my head.. :P

Don't see any harm in merging accounts. There are more pros than cons :/ It frees up accounts on the forum, combines all accounts of one individual into one (which is much cleaner) and as someone stated above - if both accounts are not banned then there is no harm in merging them, you're clearly abiding by the rules.

I have no idea why they don't do this. What's the point of just leaving the banned account there when they're already on another account?

I personally think it should be done but no GM's or even admins have replied yet so i wonder...

What I will say is, if anyone wants their account merge and think they have valid and perfectly fine reasons then open up a ticket at www.habboxforum.com/support and we will look into it. Although not all merges are done, a bit like all ban appeals may be looked into but it doesn't mean you will get unbanned. The same goes for account merges.

@Ross, look at your support ticket if you haven't already.

I can't look at it atm as im at my parent's house and i don't have access to the GoldenMerc acc on it :P
