Dear, Habbox Members

I loved Habbo and built several nice rooms, like the Christian Coffee Cafe, Wing Chun Dojo and Grace Alley ... plus several more. I have spent around $400.00 on this game !!!

After my computer locking up when buying credits one day, I came back later and made another purchase. Then my PayPal account showed two completed transactions. I asked PayPal about it and they (after researching the issue) refunded the first transaction for $9.95 to my account.

Then when I logged in this morning to my Habbo account ... it displayed this messsge ...

You have been banned! The reason for the ban is "Banneddue to credit payment chargeback (id: 2000444)". The ban will expire at12/31/22 8:24 PM Eastern Time.

I've been banned for 10 years with no email, no please contact us, nothing ... I am so upset !!! I contacted PayPal and my Credit Card company already. I am 39 and can retain a laywer if you guys think it will do any good, but being an overseas company ... I doubt it !!!

Can anyone please help me ... Does anyone know what to do ??? What kind of a company is this ???

P.S. Thank you in advance for all of your help and advice (:

Sincerely, gotdirtywindows ... I'm a window cleaner in real life !!!

Sounds like Habbo... They get all touchy when you take their money. Have you tried emailing the support team? Or writing a letter in red ink - preferrably blood? Try everyway to contact them, really really annoy them too.

I'm sorry to hear what has happened, it really annoys me when decent people who pay get stabbed by a sharp pixelated knife.

Thank you so much for your reply Kaytti ... I simply asked PayPal about the transaction. I have so much time and money tied up in this, I'm sick at my stomach! I can't believe they would do this ... My goal in life now is to get my money back and warn everyone on Habbo that I can.

I got scammed on some used door and wardrobe teleports for 5c and that got me worried about being scammed. I'm no longer worried about scammers on Habbo (: I'm worried about Habbo !!!

That pixelated knife is sharp and I knever knew it would hurt this bad ... Wow !!! Thanks again for your kind reply ... I'd at least like to log in and give my furni away. Plus I turned the moodlight to dark in the cafe and no one with rights can even turn it off or adjust it ):

What kind of a company is this ???

a greedy company..

I would phone them up if I were you and see if you can do anything that way, you will be a much faster response this way rather than emailing them.

Thanks Jordan:A,

I haven't slept since this all happened. I finally filed a complaint by email, which took forever to figure out. It said I had to login to my account first, but then I couldn't because, well ... I've been banned. I used a different email adress and finally filed a complaint after answering all of their stupid questions.

Then they sent me an email asking for enough information to steal my identity in real life and cause me trouble forever. Then someone in Habbo later tells me that's what they did to his life after he complained about being banned.

I had already filled it out the best I could ... Not even an auto reply or anything saying they got it though.

Oh, and get this. The email they sent had a link to submit the information they wanted online and when I clicked it ... it says your account has been banned !!!

Idiots ... I looked everywhere ... they don't have a US phone number listed or even a mailing address !!! Everyone says they called the numbers that they do find and they just hang up on you anyway (:

Thanks agian for the helps !!! Even knowing someone read this is nice (:

If I'm totally honest, I don't think that someone of your age should be losing sleep over a habbo account, but that's just my opinion.. :P

Habbo customer support is awful, but good luck with getting your account unbanned! :D

Try emailing the Sulake staff individually that sometimes works, but loosing sleep over Habbo for a 13 year old is bad its just not worth the fuss

Still can't sleep ... I put my heart and wallet into designing my rooms and making like 800 friends! Where do you find the email addresses for staff? Thanks (:

Haha aww this is so sad! I recommend contacting the sulake HQ in finland, by phone or even letter.
The information can be found here, pasted from the Sulake contact page

Sulake headquarters:
Korkeavuorenkatu 35
00130 Helsinki
FINLAND
Tel: +358 10 656 7000

Sulake are the company behind Habbo, so it'd be better to go back to the cause. Paypal is only the method of payment used to deliver the funds to habbo - they don't deal with actually putting the credits into the account or anything behind the scenes. So it would've been better to contact Habbo first, rather then Paypal.

Hope this helps, in some way.

Thank you for the great info LUKEYO ... I am afraid I contacted PayPal again after I was banned and the Mastercard that was used on that account. Even if I get this cleared up, I'm afraid i'll just get banned again. I would have contacted Habbo first, but it's obvious they don't want you to contact them. Still no reply and it took forever to get the first complaint into them.

I mean, if this was a real compnay ... they have my email address. They could have contacted me. I mean they never even responded to the PayPal issue. I guess the transaction reversed by default! They don't even have the business since to send you an email with contact information to resolve the problem before they ban you for 11 years.

I'm hoping for a window to log in and delete my rooms and give away my furni to other habbos. I'm so sick at this point, I don't think I want back on Habbo anyway. Look me up guys ... My second account is gotcleanwindows and my banned account is gotdirtywindows. Let me know you read my posts here and i'll call you if I give away my furni and remaing credits!

I'm sure if these noobs new how to use Habbo they could see I've built 12 + fully furnished, really nice rooms on Habbo!

gotdirtywindows is not a troll ):

I think he's a troll guys why are you helping him

Even if it was fake, he hasn't caused anyone trouble, he seems like a lovely guy

One of my friends recently double bought credits like it seems you have windows, the firs method said that the transaction failed, so tried a second time and both transactions worked.

He just emailed them and they refunded him (they usually respond quickly to credit queries I think anyway)

Sorry this happened to you!

Edit: they obv took the credits, they can't let you keep your virtual coins!

gotdirtywindows

Thank you Plebings,

Their system is not flawless ... In fact, I have never had a credits purchase complete started from inside of the hotel. Yet, it usually works fine from my accounts page. I'll admit I may have made a mistake in not contacting them, but I used PayPal and they used PayPal. So, I asked PayPal and I guess Habbo never responded to them. Why would they respond to me, if they don't even respond to the handeler of 1000 of transactions? Anyway, I guess it just auto reversed after 11 days with no responce.

Then about a week after that, my account was banned. Even if it was my fault and I was totally wrong ... Even if I was a total loser that spent $400.00 and scammed them for $9.95 ... banned for 11 years ??? I don't think the stricktest judge in the US would be that harsh! No warning, no email asking for $9.95 ... nothing!

Thank you for your kind words ... I'm not sure what you meant by the last statement, but if they want to ban me for that long ... it's their game, but they should be willing to refund the money I spent to build the rooms and then delete them!

Sincerely, Mr. Windows

I feel real bad for you. Yes , I also have been scammed 50credits using PayPal , fortunetely I was not banned , and I got my refund back. Why wasn't I banned? And why were you?
Habbo - Scam. Maybe you just gotta wait 2 years before you can unban. Its unfair. I wasn't banned but you were. Now I go to shops e.g 7 Eleven to buy credits , since the merge to avoid any circumstances.
May god bless you.
Much love,
Showder

Hey Showder,

Thanks for the great reply. I also have bought several credits from like, Walgreens. You only get 50 here instead of 60 credits that way, so it was a much better and easier deal just to use PayPal. It's nice to know that others have had problems also, I honestly didn't try to scam Habbo. I may have had more previous warnings than you, so I got banned when you didn't.

Even if I was totally wrong, Habbo needs a legitimate way to dispute these issues. It's been like 11 days and they have never even as much as replied to my email ticket number. I have filed more disputes with PayPal since they banned my account for 11 years in order to get some of my money back and it looks like Habbo hasn't even replied to PayPal either.

May God Bless You Also !!!

Sincerely, Mr. Windows

It's because when you bought credits, there wasn't enough money in your account. There is a warning somewhere when you're buying by card

It's because when you made this post you didn't read the thread properly.

It's because he forced a refund through paypal and habbo automatically bans your account if you do that (Despite the fact he didn't receive coins for that purchase).

You should, Contact them through the Habbo Support tool : https://help.habbo.com/home
If that doesn't work, Contact them through their main line, : http://www.sulake.com/
They say they can't talk about Banned accounts on their main line, but if you mention something about a lawsuit, I'm sure they'll speak up! ;)
If that doesn't work, You can also, make a new account.
And also the Company's name is Sulake, a Finnish company.
Goodluck! I hope you get your account back!
[NOTE] If all else fails, just make a new account!
Sincerely,
Carlos!

Thanks for the great replies guys!

Making a new account doesn't replace 2,400 credits and all of the hours surfing 1c shops trying to find the right furni.

I'm sure to get a IP BAN at this point ... PayPal just reversed $130.00 from Habbo to my credit card as they never even replied to the PayPal inquiry.

Guys, I did contact Habbo using the Support Tools, but there was no support at all. They never even replied. I mean, if they don't respond to a major business partner like PayPal, what makes you think anyone is going to reply to a general email box in support.

Once I get IP banned, which I've only read about ... how do I get back on Habbo with a new account and start over? This time with only one room so I can chat with my good friends.

Sincerely, Mr. Windows

3 questions
1. why are you still playing habbo at 39 years old
2. how are you losing sleep over a habbo account?
3. are you being serious?

you're 39? maybe you should stop habbo. after all it is a hangout for teenagers?

Bad enough that he's banned, only to be mocked by teenagers

Habbo is free for everyone, there will always be a population (if somewhat small) who arent within the normal audience

39 :) I never seen an adult playing Habbo lol.

Anyway, send an email. Thats what i do. Wait for them to reply and they'll ask you some questions regarding your Habbo account.

Anyone that thinks I'm the only so called adult on Habbo, is a noob (: Habbo loves adults, we have Credit Cards !!! You're just fooling yourself thinking you actually know anything about the habbo you're talking too. Trust me, this place is not a hangout for teens, I checked Habbo out before allowing my children to create an account. Guess what I told them ??? No way in HELL are you getting on there.

I read the rules and Habbo states that it is for ages 13 and older ... So if you want to harass people, go after all those underaged users that are breaking the rules, like yourself. I entered my true and correct birthday when I signed up and guess what, it was an option. I seen that Habbo could be used for good and decided to buid a Christian Coffee Cafe for people to chat in (:

For those of you who care and are following this thread, Habbo has finally replied to me after 15 days !!! Please feel free to read their email below.

Doreen, Aug-18 02:20 (PDT):

Hello,

Thank you for your email.

On 03/Aug/2011 you purchased Credits via Paypal, The purchase/s were then later cancelled, yet you still received the credits.

In order to have the ban removed from your Habbo account you will need
to remit the amount of the transactions to us. The funds must be paid
via Money Order, in US funds. The money order should be made out to Sulake.
The total amount needed to remove the ban on your account is:
USD 9.95

The Money Order should be sent to:
Sulake, Inc.
2101 Rosecrans Avenue Suite 4260,
El Segundo, CA, 90245, USA

ATTN: Credit Department
To ensure proper handling, please include both the Habbo name and the
words "PAY OFF" -- either on the Money Order or on an attached piece of
paper. If this information is not included the funds will not be applied
properly and the ban will not be removed. Once the payment has been
received the ban will be removed. If you wish to receive an email
notification when this occurs please include that with your payment.

Thank you,

GoldenMerc

No, I'm not going to do it. PayPal just reversed another $140.00 dollars more in charges for me! Habbo took so long to reply that I filed a complaint with PayPal, Mastercard and Visa. I pretty sure I'll be getting an IP ban soon. I've said goodby to all my Habbo friends ):

Thanks Guys, I'll keep you posted !!!

I did not get all of my money back. Only about 1/3 of it! Plus this is real personal for me. I never really considered this like, just a game ):

I have added a few friends to facebook, but I had no idea I would get banned. Some of my habbo friends don't have facebook either. Plus I had like 800 friends on my gotdirtywindows account. I only know them by their habbo names and I can't remember them all. They just think I haven't been on for a month or something. I've started running into a few, but you have to convince them it's you everytime (:

Oh, by the way ... You're not asking me to share personal information like my real name on Habbo, so that my friends can find me on facebook are you ??? That's against Habbo rules, you could get banned for 11 years doing something like that, he, he, he !!!

Thank You So Much Guys,
Sincerely, Mr. Windows
