There's this account I havn't used in two years which was then randomly followed by someone, so I checked it out and there was one of those scam things saying how to make easy money, posted a few days ago... Then I checked it again today and there's a new one pretty much on a daily basis. What is this and how is it happening? :S

Are they just following your account and coming up in your timeline? It's probably just spam accounts who follow anyone they can find. You can always block and report them.

I have my settings set so that no one can follow me unless I allow it. Solves this problem ^_^

there is no one following that account. Also I'm not sure if it was clear, but it's my account posting the spam.

Oh if it's your account then go to: https://twitter.com/settings/applications and make sure no dodgy applications/services have been allowed to use your twitter. Also change your password just in case.

It could be a dodgy application or if you haven't used it it could have been phised. If you use the same password for multiple things and one account is compromised it gives people the chance to access other accounts. Some sites also are simply password harvesters that will take your password and then try and use it on everything else.
