Firefox freezing

I never had problems like this before, it's being such a pain in the ass. I've been a firefox user for years and I'm actually contemplating changing browsers. Do any of you know why the hell firefox is playing up, it's not just me a few other people i know have the same problem. My computer works smoothly it's just firefox.


Oh and this isn't a thread to slate firefox. Any solutions? (Other than stupid ones "SWITCH 2 CHROME TIZ BETTA M8")

I can't say it's been happening to me. I know Firefox 5 is out with only minor updates, try that. If not uninstall and reinstall. Sorry if it's not helpful lol

I have firefox 5.0 but i didn't know it was beta

Have you installed any plugins recently?

Switch to chrome. Try reinstalling an older version untill 5.0 is officially out and not only beta.

I don't believe Firefox 5 is even in beta, it doesn't mention that on the "About Firefox" or on their site.

Get the 6.0 Beta, I had the same problem but it seems to have disappeared with 6.0.

definitely having the same kind of issues with firefox at the moment, but gonna upgrade my version and see how that goes.

I had a problem with script errors all the time so I switched to chrome. Think that I could do with a new PC though.
