OnLive's done pretty well here in the States, and we knew it would eventually venture across the ocean to merry old England. But, we didn't know exactly when it would bring its streaming services, MicroConsole and catalog of over 100 titles to the UK. Well, turns out it'll make the transatlantic trip on September 22nd, just in time for the 2011 Eurogamer Expo in London -- so there's just over a month to ready yourself for gaming-anywhere awesomeness. If you're among those interested in being the first of the Queen's subjects using the service that day, hit the source link below to sign up.

Quite excited to give this a go :) Sign up here to reserve your player tag - http://onlive.co.uk/

OnLive looks great, but I don't have a great internet connection. :(

Not really that fussed over this. Don't really understand why it would be better, or even equally as good as the current consoles. The permanent need of an internet connection makes this more a product of the future for me.

It's always nice when you await an amazing service and then when it's about to come out. Orange decide they have no idea why your internet is only 8mb instead of 20mb.

Would say I can't wait.. But I can.

Looks interesting, I doubt my internet will be able to hold it though.

They're doing £1 for your first game purchase until 9 Oct.

Had a little go earlier and found it quite interesting. I love how you can just see what everyone is playing and watch them play it.

It'll be interesting to see how well it performs on home broadband connections @ 1080p resolutions...

Lol, it doesn't even do 1080p. Looks like 1024 x 768

It will have 1080p in future. They have it working already but the country's network can't handle it yet is what i've heard.

Got mine:

What Stephen posted WAS 1080p, it was horrifically compressed though by the looks of it :/

The game was running at 1080p.

It was clearly being upscaled from a 1024 x 768 source or something like that. I saw a maximum download usage of about 5/6Mbps.

Remember just because it's 1080p doesn't mean it's going to be crystal clear. 1080p is a way of measuring resolution, not image quality.

Yes it does and no you don't. Although you'll need a very good internet connection.

If you're referring to the image in hashtix's (or whatever his name is) post then I think thats the device you can buy which you just plug into your TV and internet without need for PC

It's a lot better outside peak times IMO.

Totally agree, I bought Deus Ex (for a £1!) and I find it near unplayable at peak times but brilliant when its outwith these times :)
Temped by the microconsole but I don't fancy paying the cost.

I think while its a good idea there are too many services coming out that rely on good connections that most the population don't have.

I think people need to focus on getting the internet infrastructure sorted before creating these things.
