His heart was in barca, everyone knows that.

I don't blame him for moving, every player naturally wants to win trophies, and he just can't get that at arsenal IMO :P

I knew this would eventually happen, it's where he started off, it's only right he wants to move back.

The best club in the world showing vast interest in you for a long period of time, of course you'd want to move back.

Same with Clichy moving to Man city.

People claim Clichy has gone for the money, when in actual fact he's only getting 7k more on his contract. Man City are on the up, looking for trophies. Arsenal are still at the starting block... where they've been... since.. 2005.

At least get your facts right.

He didn't hold out for anything. In fact, he's paying Arsenal £1m a year now so that he could move to Barca. He's earning £50k a week, over a 50% pay cut so that he could move.

No idea where you heard that he held out for a £4m payout

because he's already won a trophy with them... unlike he did in all his time at arsenal. It's about time really be interesting to see how he fits into their team.

If you think he's paying that then you're wrong. He'll be getting subbed by Barcelona for that. That's why he moved. It's all about the money.

For me, it's hard to see where he's going to fit in. The squad Barca have got are untouchable. Personally feel Barca could have held out another year or two, for when Xavi (31), Iniesta (27), Mascherano (27) and Keita (31) decide to move on, considering their age.

Agreed. No loyalty in football anymore, not even at our level(Conference).

@above yeah i see what you are saying but i think he was unhappy at arsenal and thinks two more years would have seen his potential wasted but i don't know yet but it might be wasted on the bench. Also because he is in the spanish national team, which is basically barca, i can see him wanting to be there with his friends. At the end of the day though i think they felt obliged to buy him now after all the surrounding media attention last time.

Yeah that's true.

Strangest thing is, any club would love to have Fabregas in their ranks, so unsure why no one else came in for him.

like i said though i think everyone literally expected him to go to barca so no one bothered. Lets be honest if barca say jump you ask how high.

No i'm not wrong. He's taken a pay cut and he's now earning £67,000 a week, of which £17,000 goes directly to Arsenal. This forms £1m a year, which he'll pay for his 5 year contract.

It's a fact, so don't go and tell me i'm wrong Adam :P

It's not about the money at all in Cescs case, it's pretty much the opposite.

Ah yes of course. I sometimes forget that you're the sporting director of Arsenal.

Why do you seem to come out with these pathetic comments when you're wrong? It's pretty immature really.

Talks about him paying Arsenal.

Also, if you watched SSN on the day of the transfer, they explained his salary breakdown, and he was earning £67,000 a week, with £17,000 going to Arsenal.

I don't need to be the sporting director of Arsenal, I just do my research and know what i'm talking about unlike you apparently.

Emmanuel Eboue & Samir Nasri have gone to.

Eboue has gone to galatasori or however it's spelt & Samir Nasri has gone to Manchester City.

I am heartbroken. Nasri was my favourite player on the squad... Now I have changed to Keiron Gibbs because I like the way he can run with the ball aswell as make good pass's and plays. We also play the same position so...
