Transformer:

iPad 2:

Or something else?
I might consider upgrading to either of the above at some point and the biggest thing I'm looking for is what has the best battery life. OS wise I'd prefer iOS Jailbroken to Android but the Transformer also runs Ubuntu pretty well.
What's everyones opinion!

I had the opportunity to try a Transformer out for a few weeks before it had to go back to the college. It was great for the first day, but I then realized, I would have been gutted if I spent £400 on this. I couldn't think of anything to do on it. It does nothing more than what my phone can do. When it went back to the college last week, I did not miss it at all and have no desire to buy one. Battery life was amazing, I think it was only on 93% after 3 days of an hour a day usage. The screen is absolutely useless outdoors since you can't see through the stupid glossy screen which defeats the point of taking it out and about (I don't know whether the iPad has this too). The WiFi is very picky. Your home router has to be broadcasting on a particular channel for it to work (Channel 11 for me) which then messes up the rest of the wireless devices in the house.

Thanks for posting your experiences with it. I think I'll hold off for the meantime and see if something comes out with a better "outside" screen. Some youTube reviews confirm what you've said with regards to the screen.
