Okay I was studing human rights with my friend for furture careers.
I asked my friend "isnt there any laws about pushing someone into something they dont want to do?" my friend replyed yeah so i searched on google
"the right to say no" and the fact that sayin no is part of the rights so i asked my friend "so i can say no if mr.lee(teacher)says its time to play soccer? (I hate soccer but playing it is even worse!) and she said yeah
I was thinking can i sue him for breaking the law and taking my(acutally the whole class) rights away when my friend said that means u can sue mr.lee!!
Im planning to tell my parents but i get the feeling that if i do my parents will take it to the court so im planning to just tell mr.lee myself i mean what else can happen if i dont tell im just gonna be there taking my rights away right in my very eyes!
Should I tell my teacher or not? and what should i do?
This is Canada laws so it might not affect the US

Lol cool, I guess you could say that to him just don't mention the 'I can sue' you part untill he says "if you don't do it you get detention", then, say you can sue him.

Teahcers hate it when they get corrected, My teacher spelled "Ivitation" "Invatation" I corrected him and when I was writing he told me my posture was wrong o.o...
I dunno bout canada but in Britain. Physical education is cumpolsory. Like maths or english so i don't really think u can sue your teacher for making u play football...
In my old school if we forgot our kit we would have to borrow... ewwwww. And one time i forgot my trainers and as i was on my last warning in p.e i couldnt put up a fuss so i had to play softball in just socks :|

I don't do PE :)
Which is cool if your in Band and intro to jazz.
O well its compulsory in every school ive been in. Unless u have a medical condition. All the P.e teachers were evil aswell.
One time this girl was trying to get out of P.e because she wanted to go home and get some stuff because it was that time of the month but the teacher made her do P.e Lets just say her white shorts ended up red.

Yes, you may have human rights to say no and such, but P.E. is a subject that everyone in school has to take unless you are in Grade 9+, where you can always drop out ;)

Thats true, but as you are in the instution of school by your very being there you are agreeing to some terms, wich basicaly mean they are in chrage of your wellbeing like a parent or gardien is, exspet to a less exstent, so if you try and push that one, best youl get is a laugh "/
Aka they cant force you to, But they CAN give you detention, exspell you, etc etc if you dont
Yayayayayayayay. I used to <3 P.e anyway. How can u not like it. I was the best netball player but i got kicked off the team for agressive behaviour :( I get really competetive. I used to shout at everyone. I got in a fight with some girl in an away match and used to shout at my own team if they did something wrong.

I also live in the UK,
You do have human rights, but the school and education system have rights too. The most 'force' a teacher can pursue is threats of detention etc like mentor said just by attending the school you are agreeing to abide by their rules and regulations. This may be different in Canada, but in the UK you wouldnt get this to a court at all.

Erm, I've never heard of sueing someone, just for like, telling you and forcing you to do something you don't want to. Anyway, if it makes you feel better, do it. ;)
Yer but i dont no about Canada but apparently in america people sue eachother if they trip over a hose pipe and sprain there ankle...
Unless this teacher was saying really mean things to u or physically forcing u to play... or hitting u or anything then i really dont think u would have a case. Frankly its a bit pathetic. It's soccer, it aint going to hurt u. Some kids hate doing math's but they have to do that. :\

Yeh if we all had rights to drop lessons or w/e then no one would learn anything and we wouldn't go to lessons lol so i would just go to soccor if i were you i mean i use to hate it when it was time to do football (soccor) during p.e but i use to just get on with it lol =]
