Have I made a wrong move?

Hey everybody, i've been playing habbo for quite sometime. And i've seen rare stuff sky rocket in price. Recently they released these sand dragons.
I just stockpiled on em in the hopes that it would raise in price some day. Any idea if this was a smart move or should i have just bought a throne instead? Would a throne have a lesser risk in losing value?

around 20-30-40 sometimes 50c, to resell them. They may become good value
someday in the future, who knows. Prices go skyhigh on the most dumbest things.
So it's possible. & An seat throne? Yeah those are always high priced, up to 350-400c per.
But if you're talking about dragon throne? There about 30c - 50c.
& An throne, (2seat) are about 12-15c sometimes, 20c ( people who sell for 20c, sell to noobs. )

I think they've already dropped and they're unlikely to get much higher. They'll be like the snow dragons :p

My apologizes but yeah I meant throne sofa, had them confused. Even so, throne sofa absolutely cannot sell at 15, unless you have the patience to luckily come around an idiot to buy it, which is not likely.

In my opinion, I don't think the sand dragons will rise.

Although i'm very much out of the trading game, it seems that with these new rares they release with credits plus another form of currency (pixels/shells or any past/future quest currency) they all do the same thing. Initially they sell for a lot higher than you buy then, eg if the item was 25C + 1000 pixels, it may sell for say 30C or even higher in the first hour of it being released (as some people don't have the 1000 pixels to buy it). This is where you are effectively taking advantage of the hype and converting your pixels in to credits (you buy the item at 25C and 1000 Pixels but then sell at say 35C, you have got you 25C back but changed your pixels to 10C). But you can only do this in the first couple of days, getting the most profit the earlier you do this.

After a few days, the hype dies down and the item is like any old random rare. The market has been flooded with them and so knowone is interested in them. Within a month they are in many coin shops and you can pick up for 10C.

These days i don't think it's worth stock piling any rares, there is no profit made in things rising and falling, there was a few years back but now with the marketplace, things don't work like this any longer sadly.

It's best to buy cheaper, sell fast at a slightly higher value (by fast i mean, don't stockpile hoping for an increase, activey try and sell everything you have at a higher amount than what you paid) i feel this is the only way currently to ensure you are slowly making a profit.

You can get lucky stockpiling items, but often it will take months and you could have made loads more profit trading rather than saving up. Or the items just increase slightly and so it's hard to actually sell at that price without people haggling you down to the price you orignially paid,=.

It will take years for it to increase beyond 15/20/25c mark (maybe lower)

Really I think the thrones was worth it (well more than the dragon) as it cost more shells so less people bought it
