Florence's new single, brilliant.

At first I was a little disappointed, then by the second half I was sold. It builds up to a pretty big climatic end, her voice is ridiculously beautiful and haunting as usual and it sounds really big and epic, and I wasn't expecting anything else.

When I heard the album Lungs, I genuinely believed that she is one of the best things to happen to British music this century, and she continues to prove me right.

Her new, as of yet untitled second album will be out November 7th.

Sounds like Mr Epworth couldn't work out the balance between vocals and instrumentals at points, like at 1:18, glad the vocals were fairly soft for the majority, reminded me of Two Suns alot in the rhythm and such

Been listening to this for weeks since she first did it at the greek theatre and it found it's way onto Youtube. I'm hooked. I love flo, it's a bit of an obsession, on her last album i listened to all tracks like over 200 times on my itunes lol.

I think she is one of the best artists around at the moment, started listening to her on youtube since 2008 and then when she released her album i went mental listening to it. I've been searching for months for new songs and stuff, everytime something gets leaked or she plays it at a festival/concert i just play the hell out of it. Like Strangeness and Charm, What The Water Gave Me and Bedroom Hymms.

She's fantastic and i cannot wait to get her new ablum. Although i've probably already ruined it for myself as i've listened to all her new stuff far too much!

Also it was nice to see some of the rest of the band in a video for once, like Isa.

Her new album is out 3 days before my birthday so that will definately be on my list! But i'll probs buy it the day it comes out anyway.

I do want to hear a studio version of Strangeness and Charm, i though that would have been her first Single off this album, but it seems she is releasing What The Water Gave me, what with this video and everything.

I didn't think it was that much of an issue myself

And the fact that it was released as a single today ... :P So hyped for her album!

oops just realised I meant 2:18, 1:18 has really nice clear vocals, anyway it's just them build ups that sound really cluttered, Lungs was ok imo, I didn't find most of the melodies stuck, but the instrumentation was always good and interesting, I feel the same about this one though, in terms of the album it might make more sense (?), it's a bit hypocritical me saying this based on what I listen to lolz

Oh I see! Yeah it is a bit overpowering like that a few times in the song I think... And I agree, the instrumentation on Lungs is brilliant. So many different complicated rhythms and unusual techniques... I heard one of the songs on this second album has the sound of a harp on fire lol, sounds interestingly weird

It grew on me rather fast, i listened to it once a few weeks back on youtube and forgot about it. But then when i was at work i was singing it in my head, so it obviously stuck, came home and played the hell out of it ever since.

I hope she releases the name of her new album soon, seems she doesn't have a name yet.
