Chatting on facebook to a good friend and she's a flagship manager for a property company.
She's detailing all the crap she dislikes about her job.
What's your pet hates?
Mine's:
- The way we're told to be 'pro-active' with our business... we are sales not voodoo. I can't force someone in?
- tidying up. i'm not a cleaner, I'd get paid a better basic if I was.
- having to start fifteen minutes early.
list your pet hates about your work :]

- I work with a lot of other women.. and they are extreamly ******!
- The majourity of people that i work with are idoits when it comes to computers. (One seems to think that if the computer goes to standby.. its broken.
- My managers say really stupid things... "how many left...?... o well make sure you sell them then".... "is the engineer here?... make sure he doesn't leave until he fixes it"
- One of my managers.. .enough said.

- People not checking the power switches before complaining something doesn't work
- People putting "sites blocked, please unblock" on the help desk, I end up ignoring them because I have better things to do than sift through web access logs
- Teachers ripping out Ethernet ports from wall mounts
- Teachers taking home laptop chargers and complaining we haven't got enough in school

administrator in a school?
No offence, I had you down for a student? that's a good job you have there! i assume :P.
A few more of mines is...
- customers assuming what they know. yes, I work roughly 50 hours a week doing this and YOU know better
- my colleagues not having good enough knowledge or actively trying to improve. instead of pushing issues to me to deal with
- the lack of breaks. i had a customer complain i went on lunch because "I left her standing there for five minutes" I'm a sales consultant, I'm not a dog. I need to eat like she does!?
- people asking the same questions...
Lol i love this thread :) I have been moaning to zak all day about people annoying me at work :P
Im a lifeguard!
- Other lifeguards not rotating on time.
- You get half hour dinner NOT an hour :/
- Certain people doing anything they can to get off pool and sit in the staff room.
- Others not cleaning.
- VENDING MACHINE PROBLEMS!!!!!
- Costumers asking for something then not saying thank you.
- Costumers moaning because the group changing aren't open, i get the key and just get shouted at :/
- My drains blocking and me getting shouted at when i only work two days a week and don't have time to clean them.
- Parents saying their kids can swim, yet the end up drowning!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thats just a few, the list usually gets a little longer after each shift!

Oh... i don't get ANY breaks. Apparently its because we have enough time without customers throughout the day in order to take a sufficant break... if i smoked though - i'd get 15 mins.
Also... i finish work at 11pm and start again at 7am at least once a week.
this is my hates from working at mcdonalds (hahahaha).
- managers who stand around front counter not actually doing anything because they're 'managers' and they're their to 'supervise' even when we're really struggling.
- members of the big boss' family getting away with murder, just because they're related to the store manager.
- people who don't put the diet button down on diet drinks (LOL)
- people who stand infront of the fries having a chat when i'm trying to get my ******* food.
hahahhaha love mcdonalds.
Smits

- People expecting me to do their work as well as my own.
- Extremely long, boring periods where i do naff all (shouldn't complain as i'm still paid, but 3 hours is boring)
- People not stacking up the plates and things in a sensible order, instead just dumping them anywhere and expecting me to sort it.

It's nice your school had you on, gave you experience and they got some cheap/free labour!
Quite clever. You must be exemplary if they allow you access to their systems. We were limited to our useage especially after we sat in an IT Lab about one of my mates typed in the most illegal/offensive **** into google.
Never seen teachers run around looking like a riot force before!

Sixth forms are colleges but not all colleges are sixth forms. There isn't really a distinction with most tbh except quite often a sixth form is an extension of the high school, so yeah pretty much the same thing.
As for me, I'm in college studying art and fashion :8

When I was at my company, the most annoying thing was the Polish folk, talking in Polish to each other.
Racist? maybe, but its ******* inconsiderate.
I work in Morrisons. Top ones are
Work with all blokes, no gals on our department. Too physical & the boss says their just useless.
The blokes on my department don't talk about anything but sleeping with girls, girls that they got with or going out and getting plastered.
Customer's ask you where the stupidest items in the store are.
The company as a whole doesn't give a **** about its workforce.
Majority of management are ****heads.
Customers just get in your way -- all the time.

Every day we have an hour where we stop doing stuff and we have to go around the shop facing up etc.
Oh and the bit where I have to watch/follow possible shop lifters around the shop, and move stuff/do something in the aisle they're in

My workplace grinds.. well this is a list of what customers regularly say which winds me up...
1- "Do you work here?" .... No, I wear this badge & uniform to keep up with the latest fashion trends
2- "Whats your refund policy" ... Read the back of your receipt, blind bat
3- "Where is your fitting room" ... Right there where it says "FITTING ROOM"
4- "Where do you pay" .... where is says "PAY HERE"
BUT I do have a laugh at work with my dirty mind :D
like when customers are asking if they can put their cards into the chip & pin machines.. they come out with such naughty words! which I have to restrain myself from laughing
