Now guys, just a random thread, no point behide it.

I'd just like to know what kinda mouse all you guys use. and why you use it.

I'll start it off.

This is my "Razer DeathAdder"

I use it because i play WoW mainly and it's really good for that, it's pretty slick, and real fast.
The Razer pattern, slides blue, and then off, and so on love the effect.

Razer Krait.

I use it because I got it when I first got my pc :D I need a new one because the rubber coating on the right-click is wearing away :(

Check out this mint condition Mouse Systems serial optical mechanical mouse, circa 1991. A MSC Model GM-301. This was a product often sold with PC PAINT, an excellent early DOS pixel paint program (runs great in DosBOX), rivalling Deluxe Paint, or superior. PCPAINT ver. 3.0 is still unmatched for creating pixel art working at a the solid pixel level. Serial ports are pretty much gone from modern systems and laptops, however, serial mice can still be utilised via serial to USB adapters, which can be found on eBay. Mouse Systems, operating in the U.S. from Fremont, CA was eventually purchased by KYE.

One correction above, that was PCPAINT ver. 3.1, not 3.0. Looks like you can download it for free here:

It's pretty good, the buttons are pretty handy, although I never use them all.

It's really good for precision gaming and the like. It also has forwards and backwards buttons on it.

I have a Logitech MX3200 keyboard and mouse set which contains the MX600 mouse. I like the mouse, but it's not very sensitive and starting to wear out now due to age - it sometimes releases prematurely when dragging+dropping. The keyboard is very meh. The key action isn't very nice. Ideally I could do with a new mouse and keyboard.

I am so used to the multitouch gestures (especially the ones I configured myself with BetterTouchTool) that I would feel naked going back to my old mouse :P

Do you use a MacBook? Or do you have an Apple Trackpad for desktops?

I really don't understand why Apple sell the trackpads for desktops. I know on laptops MacBook trackpads are a godsend with multitouch gestures as well as the fact that the trackpad is handsomely sized! But a trackpad on a desktop just doesn't make sense to me. Do trackpad gestures on Lion make a trackpad superior to any sort of multitouch mouse at all? I'd like to know :P

I use a HP Voodoo mouse. It came free when I bought my HP desktop so it's all good. Collecting HP things one freebie at a time :P

Might configure the iPad into a trackpad for my iMac and see how it works, then buy one if I like it. I know it's quite infamous but I've actually grown to like the iOS like launcher on Lion.

I currently have a Logitech MX Revolution but I need a replacement/a new mouse as this one is showing sign of old age and doesn't charge proper any more.

MX518 on my main rig, but I do have a Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 (came with the Wireless Keyboard 6000, but I prefer my MX518 so don't use it, and need another transceiver for it so I can use it with my netbook)

PS: if anyone has a transceiver PM me, I seriously need one.

Can't find the Kensington I have on Google.
