Multiple Activations with same XP key?

Hey - I am formatting my grandads computer and he wants XP on it, we have an XP disc in the house, but it has already been used on a different laptop. I was wondering could I use the same activation key for my grandads computer? If not could I use a vista product key for activating xp?

You can use it, but it doesn't mean it'll successfully activate.
