For the fifth year running Habbox has successfully held the biggest event of the year - the Summer Spectacular. Unfortunately, after the lots of fun people have had over the two weeks it drew to a close on Sunday 28th August. The awards ceremony took place this evening at 20:00 BST.
This years spectacular saw over 200 events being held across the two weeks it ran. That includes the events that took place on Habbo, on HabboxLive, forum competitions. That has smashed last years record as 174 events were held back in 2010. A big thank you to everyone who held such events for this years HxSS and without those people, this wouldn't of been a success.
The competition was fierce which seen the green team fly with points on the first couple of days and then slowly catching up the red team who overtook us before the week was out. The black team was very close in getting second place during the two weeks with only 60 points behind! But sadly this didn't last long :(
It seems the blue team also struggled again this year which is a great shame but they seemed to of done better than last year in terms of the team score at the end! The winner of this year's HxSS are....

Their dedication throughout the 14 days and also at the very end make them become in 1st place just by 939 points due to the reds winning a large number of events in the second week. They won a total of 17,746 points! Congratulations to every member of the green team who won this year's Habbox Summer Spectacular.
This years overall team standings are as follows:
1st Place ~ Green Team ~ 17,746 Points
2nd Place ~ Red Team ~ 16,807 Points
3rd Place ~ Black Team ~ 13,071 Points
4th Place ~ Blue Team ~ 8,976 Points
Congratulations to them all! They each win the following:
1st Place (Jurv ~ Green Team): 2 thrones, 100 Credits, Forum award, Gold Trophy, 3 months VIP
2nd Place (,Jess, ~ Red Team): 1 throne, 50 Credits, Forum award, Silver Trophy, 2 months VIP
3rd Place (fishymydishy ~ Black Team): 1 throne, 25 Credits, Forum award, Bronze Trophy, 1 month VIP
4th Place (Pigperson ~ Blue Team): 300 Credits, Forum award, 1 month VIP
The top 10 from the winning team (Green)will also get 20 credits each. All of these prizes will be handed out over the next couple of days, please be patient!

Habbox Summer Spectacular requires a large amount of planning, coordination, effort and dedication on the part of a great many people. I just want to a thank some of the great people who were involved in making this a success.
A massive thank you to xxMATTGxx, Bolt660 and Jurv for the initial planning of the event and for their hard work during the 14 days, making sure it all went smoothly and that events were being booked and timetable was filled with many chances to win points.
Thank you to: HotelUser and the Graphics Department for making the forum signatures that were used to show the team score. Without these, it would be back to the old fashion way of showing points!
Another big thanks goes to every single member of staff who hosted events, did on air competitions, ran the competitions on the forum and also created the quests because without these then HxSS would of failed and no one would of been able to win any points!
Finally, a big thank you to YOU, the members who attended this years Habbox Summer Spectacular during the 14 days. As without you, well it would fail because without you turning up to these events for your teams it would just be a big mess! So thank you and give yourself a pat on the back.
